Rome Odunze interview

Rave7 : 4/12/2024 8:44 pm
Odunze did an interview/podcast on Pivot with Ryan Clark, Fred Taylor, and Channing Crowder. He came across as a great young man with high character and was very impressive.
While I am hoping for a new QB (Maye, Mccarthy, or Daniels) this year, if Schoen decides otherwise, Odunze would be a valuable addition to the team.

Everything about him

Screams that he is willing to do whatever it takes to be the best and that it's all about winning. While Nabers made the comment the Giants need to fix their QB situation so they can get him the ball.
Nabers Is Very Talented And May Have Have The Highest WR Ceiling

But his personality, not atypical for a WR, still worries me.

If think I take MHJ over Nabers and consider taking Odunze over Nabers.

If Odunze and Nabers are both there at 6, I think a trade down with the Bears would be smart. Could get one of the two plus a 2nd perhaps.

Does it make sense for the Bears?
The kid

Has everything you want in a prospect. His on the field tape, matches the athleticism, and his work ethic. Just a great kid all around. Even if he’s not drafted by the Giants, I will be a fan of his.
I have kept an open mind
TrueBlue56 : 4/13/2024 6:32 am : link
When it comes to the top draft prospects, but everything I have read and watched about Odunze impresses me a lot. If we aren't able to go quarterback, then I would love for him to be the pick for us. He can really add something to the offense with Hyatt and Robinson. I get the feeling he can impact the offense in a way similar to what Shockey and Odell Beckham did when they arrived.

Mountain out of a molehill. Did you see the interview with Nabers when he said what he did? There is nothing there. People want to see what they want to see.

The Bears don't have a 2nd RD pick this year. In fact, they only have 4 total picks... two 1s, a 3 and a 4.

Comes across as a good dude who is super talented. He reminds me a lot of Nicks, who reminded me a lot of Irvin.
I agree with Rave, I want a QB badly,
Section331 : 4/13/2024 10:44 am : link
but Odunze would be a hell of a fall-back plan.

No one’s saying we should ignore character

Issues. We’re saying that the case that Nabers has these issues is based on nothing.
I'd take Harrison

Farther along and contrary to popular belief, he's still got quite a ceiling to reach.

Think he is a better route runner than Odunze. Eventually, for any QB, being exactly wwere you are supposed to be is critical.

That’s great. But I believe the overwhelming assumption is that MHJ will be gone when the Giants pick. I think most people on the planet would take MHJ over Odunze

Not according to asshat leaks, Nabers gun incident and other incidents have been mentioned suggesting we have Odunze > Nabers

I know, it would be a 2025 2nd. I think we would probably just take Odunze over Nabers anyways.

It's OK to say that you didn't know that the Bears don't have a 2nd RD pick this year. Suggesting that in your previous post that you were actually referring to their 2025 2nd RD pick, even though you didn't specify that, just makes you look silly.
