Unpopular take - I like em. Furthermore, its funny to see all the throwbacks around the league being well received. Seahawks, Giants, Oilers, etc......
No doubt nostalgia tricks the mind but in general these colors are brighter and the designs are....simple.
What's honestly the difference between this years edition and last years?
They used the retro away Jerseys from the NYSE era last season as their color rush jersey. This year they are going back to that look permanently across their home, away, and alternate jersey.
It doesn't have that hideous New York on the front of the jersey
I bought every tean's current mini helmet to display in my man cave. Since then, I've updated as teams have changed their logos. The constant turnover became too much... Within the past two years Riddell stopped producing the style of helmet that matches my collection, so I replaced some of the ugly helmets with my personal favorite, which for the Jets is the '78-'89 throwback pictured below.

I actually think those all-black unis are pretty cool looking.
I'm not a huge fan of monochrome uniforms (except *some* all whites) and I'm not a fan of black uniforms for teams that don't have black as a primary color.
I'm an 80s head and pine for that era, so I do have a prejudice. Nice move by the Jets. I like it. They shouldn't get too cute though with that one shade. The Sack Exchange unis with Klecko and company were excellent. They should embrace that era again. It was the last time they were consistently good---they should've been in the Super Bowl in 82 and could've been in it in 86 to play the NYG.
I don't hate the Giants current uniform, and also when they wear the throwbacks, they look weird to me. The color of the jersey is off or something, maybe it's the design of today's jerseys I don't like.
When they got booted late in the playoffs in 2009 and 2010, I felt absolutely nothing. Waste of my time.

Just like in college. Cannot even tell who is playing anymore. Sometimes the colors on the unis don't match the team's colors.
