I agree that at least 25% will take issue with whatever the direction is. And they will be loud. This mirrors most everything else around us these days … bottom line though, you either trust the process or you don’t.
have people who insist we move on from Daniel Jones, but if the Giants draft a QB, it will be the wrong one - even though the "right one" will be off the board.
to be on the Scout's Honor podcast today and I'm going to make the case that the Giants can go in three directions, and lay out how each of these three directions is actually a defensible strategy.

Or, refuse to understand that any QB at #6 is not going to happen.

And this is the correct answer. We all know who the posters are. They will complain no matter what direction we go at QB.

I agree with this. It really depends on how we value certain players (esp. QB) and how other teams value those players. If you can get the QB you want at 6 or higher do so. If not and someone offers a haul to trade down do so. If not take best WR. I am OK with any of these outcomes, but I view the last as the most likely.
They will be the top head blowers. I'll say Go Terps, SFGFNCCGiantsFan, and with honorable mention Section 125.
Me? Wrong guy. Must mean sean...
IDC if they take QB, WR or trade back. I'm the least of your worries.
I love reading all opinions and ideas on how to improve the team. Visiting this site and reading what people post is very entertaining to this senior citizen.
day one or day two, there is going to be a pretty big food fight at BBI. That will be the trip wire.
And the main target is going to be Schoen and his triple-down strategy on Jones.
You still don't get it, do you? Yes they need an upgrade at QB badly, which we all want. However, if the one(or three) they feel is the guy that they can turn into a star is not there, it is a total waste of a pick to "just take any ole' QB".
And I am open to anyone of the top six...but I know squadosh about evaluating QBs beyond the normal fan.

This is true. Because many will be too emotional and choose to ignore the obvious fact that they studied the hell out of these QBs, and thus triple down on Jones is not the intent but simply might be out of their control depending on how the draft plays out.

Still, I am one of the least likely to lose my mind on a choice they make. I may express disbelief(strongly) on what I consider whacko posts, but whatever Schoen does he has a sane reason for doing it.
Pass on one of the top QB's that fall to 6? Sure, why not!
Watch Vikings trade up one spot before us for a QB that fell that we've been linked to? Of course!
Take a wide receiver at 6 no one is talking about while one of the top three are sitting there? Sounds right!
Trade out of the first round completely? Mhm, mhm!
My head won’t explode at all. I’m very apathetic in regards to this franchise right now, top to bottom. I expect the worst.
Nice try.
If we go into 2024 with Daniel Stephen Jones III as the starting QB, you may need to consult your PCP on the best Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor for you to take. ;)
How invested people get in who is drafted. As reiterated year after year, draft after draft, ad-nauseum... it's a crapshoot.
The people making the picks have far more information, expertise, and time invested in fleshing out these picks, video, interviews, multiple scouts, etc. etc... and it's STILL a crapshoot.
And I have to say, Giants sure seem like they are doing their homework this year, especially on QBs.
I may scratch my head at a pick but I never get pissed off at picks any more, it's just silly. As a fan of the Giants, I root for the picks to do well until they are gone from the team.

Absolutely correct. Trouble is many on this board think they can evaluate talent and know more about running a franchise than the experts. That's not to say the experts don't make mistakes, but it's their business, let them do it.
was a home run with the first 3 picks at the time of the draft and there was still people complaining... so no matter what you can't please everyone. I fully expect them to take players I don't really like and am not high on. I then realize they are Giants now and after my initial upset I root hard for them all. Last year was probably the only year where I was like Banks awesome, JMS are you serious, Hyatt no way how did he fall that far! I don't expect it two years in a row.
For years, the concept of "we have only so many draft picks" has eluded the faithful.
It's going to be a real issue this year.
They will link stats/takes from various sources to backup their view to "prove" the pick was terrible.
Buckle up!

I don't believe that anyone's head will actually explode.
remote throw? definitely possible, but doubtful any heads explode.

Phase 2 Complain about how they spent their money and start rating the team for next season as if a draft will not happen before the season starts.
Phase 3 Share mock drafts and form sentences around throwing the remote, running to the podium, and generational talent.
Phase 4 arrival of new asshats.
Phase 5 Bitch about the draft and predict the impending doom of the team followed by proclaiming BB will be the coach next season.
Phase 6 The results of the first preseason game will determine what our record will be.
Phase 7 Win or lose for 17 weeks the team will be dammed next season.
And the main target is going to be Schoen and his triple-down strategy on Jones.
40% will complain if we do draft a QB (no matter who we pick)
of that 40%, 50% will complain that is was the wrong QB
Then of course 10% will complain that Mara is meddling
And the main target is going to be Schoen and his triple-down strategy on Jones.

I'll go with half as well. Minimum.
