A great watershed moment in NFL draft coverage.

Mel took Tobin to task for passing on legendary QBs Heath Shuler and Trent Dilfer when all he had at the position was Jim Harbaugh.

The player Tobin took at #2 is in the HoF - Marshall Faulk. The other guy? Trev Alberts.

I think history would write Tobin was more correct than Mel Kiper, but trading up for Trev Alberts was a mistake.

kind of resonate for this year? Tent Dilfer was ok but not a superstar and Heath Schuler...got elected to Congress later on.
