For Nick...it's Drake Maye
Maye has a higher upside than McCarthy, with theoretically fixable tendencies on tape. Daboll could be the perfect coach to help him improve his footwork and break the bad habits that may have developed due to his time in the air raid system.
There aren’t many quarterbacks that enter the NFL draft with - at least - the upside to eventually develop into a top-five NFL quarterback. I have no idea if Maye will develop into that type of player, but I know he has the requisite top-level arm talent and confidence that quarterbacks of that ilk possess. For that, I have to go with Drake Maye.

Very straight forward, he prefaced it by saying the Giants were throwing smoke around the QBs. I fully believe that and its why I’m taking any “I heard they like X” comments with a grain of salt, even if from reliable sources.
I believe the fact that we’re hearing so many conflicting reports is a good thing. We no longer have a Marc Ross type telling everyone what is going on in our war room.
I feel he likes Maye 2nd after Caleb. He's shown hesitation with Daniels and didn't like Penix much at all.
I hear you, I hear you.
If we’re in a position to make that choice (I highly doubt we will be), I’d swing for the fence’s on Maye’s upside.
But if I had to guess, I'll bet Daboll would prefer Maye's skill set and upside. A. , bhaide. I don't think he's interested in tailoring his offense around the limitations of his QB. Maye is inconsistent and there's a lot to clean up, and the bit in GD13s post about Maye vs Allen in terms of still having those issues with superior coaching is an interesting one. But ultimately I think Daboll prefers the one who has flashed the ability to do it all.
McCarthy seems to have impressed at the combine and in meetings, as well as his pro day.
I have to believe most teams have Maye ahead of McCarthy on their board.
If we’re in a position to make that choice (I highly doubt we will be), I’d swing for the fence’s on Maye’s upside.
I'd take either one for the proposed trade to 4. Neither for the king's ransom.
