I don’t want to see anyone going out of their way to throw down with anyone. I want to see Rempe be physical on the forecheck and relentless at the net front, while staying out of the box and maintaining defensive discipline.
Rempe v. Wilson is inevitable. What I don’t want to see is Rempe doing anything careless like hitting someone out of control and elbowing them. Then getting himself ejected for a major misconduct penalty. If Rempe is active, they have a purpose for him, and getting thrown out for something stupid is not going to fulfill that purpose. They need him to be physical and mentally tough. Make the Capitals worry about him, and let them make mistakes.

He’s not in the lineup but Uncle Larry said he was flying in practice, looking great, so it may not be long. Rempe stays in the lineup, Brodzinsky out. Same D pairings.

I’m a Ranger fan and, while Rempe is a willing fighter, he’s gotten smacked around pretty good by some of the bigger fighters.
at 5v5 the whole game was in the Caps end, on the PP they moved the puck well and set up the seam pass to Kreider. it's coming. They overplayed the one-timer by Mika or shot by Fox/Panarin. that seam pass was open.
Even with the PP's the Caps had 4 shots on goal the whole period. Rangers still getting their legs after the layoff.
all the penalties were weak IMO, both ways - except the Pacioretty one which should earn him a seat on the bench since it negated a PP. Refs trying to set a tone it seems. Opposite of TBL vs FLA where the refs seemed to let them play a lot more.
One on vesey was a little suspect too but they didn't show a replay.
Regardless solid 40 mins, just managed to hit the net these last 20. Too bad they gave up that quick one but don't see any reason they won't close this one out at this rate.
