There is opportunity to move back, you have to consider it. I would hate losing out on a blue chip player though if you get too I can imagine moving back with MN getting 11 & 23, then move up to 9 to draft Odunze ( or Nabers ) and giving Chicago our 3rd round pick. They only have 4 picks the entire draft, 2 first rounders.
We need quality. The last time we traded down, Micah Parsons was sitting there and we took Toney. If you can't get the QB, get the blue chip player!!!!!! We currently have zero of those on offense.

That's not the only consideration. If you don't get the QB this year, you have to get him next year. And if Denver offers their 2025 #1, that has a good chance to be a top 10 pick (as does our pick).

Right but is next year another Kenny Pickett/Malik Willis class? Or maybe the Daniel Jones/Dwayne Haskins class. That top pick could be worthless if we are doing it for a QB. Also, what's to say we end up with 4 and the top 3 teams need a QB again? We are picking in the top 6 in a strong QB class. Go get the QB.

Giants fans needs to stop doing this.. " The last time " was Gettleman and his crew. They are long gone. What happened then doesnt apply to now.
And if the draft has shown us ANYTHING is that it is unpredictable. Guaranteed " blue chippers" can be busts.. and so called " busts " can be top notch players..
acting like there are no QB prospects in 2025 too... Shedeur Sanders, Quinn Ewers, Drew Allar... not to mention there are always guys who come out of nowhere.

Due respect, Joe's track record so far hasn't been the best either.....not epically bad but not great either.
moving toward getting the extra pick with a move to between 9-13. If with Minnesota could take Thomas or Penix at 11 and one of the top DTs/CBs at 23 ...

We will disagree. I think it has been good, not great.

Same here.
Maye is their guy. It's been hidden lately, but if you look closely,
it's always been there. Get him if you can. I'd be willing to give up next year's #1 to do it. If he's gone at 3, then obviously things change. I like McCarthy and would be happy to have him as well, but not paying through the nose to get him. The key is New England at 3: What do they do? The Giants can effect that to a certain extent, but ultimately it's out of their control. If the Giants were picking 5th instead of 6th, then things would be different, but it is what it is.
this could potentially yield us Odunze and Penix. I would definitely not hate that....just not sure how they would handle Neal being his blind side tackle.

Yes, and the GM responsible for that decision is no longer here. Secondly, there are some tidbits coming from Dallas indicating that the issues regarding Parsons discussed at the time appear to be resurfacing. Is it true? Who knows, but it is a factor.

Corrected for accuracy.
(Which Allar doesn't have, btw)
Carson Beck can be interesting. But the thought of Drew Allar makes me throw up in my mouth a lil.

Try being a Penn State fan... ;)
Beck is interesting. He had a lot of protection with that Georgia OL. They were a top ten pass blocking unit.
But I think Beck can spin it pretty well and he has ideal size.
The guy to watch, IMO, is Jalen Milroe. He's a potential monster if he can iron out some passing issues. A physical specimen who can run like a tailback and really spin it. Just a lot of fat to trim...
Feel about Maye/McCarthy. I’m not a McCarthy fan so at 6 I would trade down if 2 of the 3WRs are there. I think one Wr would then make it to 11 or 12 so you could trade down
Thursday will be very interesting!

The top three QBs in this draft are already out of reach.
