Nothing earth shattering, but wanted to post this as I've seen some contradictory rumors / speculation on other threads including:
1) JJM will go #2
2) Daniels may not want to play for Washington (Eisen)
3) Maye will go #2 (Vegas betting lines have moved)
I've been told all of the above is false and are just rumors started by agents / fans / other teams.
Source is an extremely closely related family member to ownership.
Once again - nothing earth shattering IMO but thought I'd share.
Agreed, seemed like the whole Daniels story was just media making much ado about nothing after JD's agent liked a post that was critical of the group interview process by DC. Nothing to see here. I'm beginning to expect the top 3 to go:
1. CHI CW
2. DC JD
3. NE JJM
They do this every year, you hear all this conjecture and then all of the sudden the draft comes and they seem to have known the first few picks for weeks.
Why would the media, outside of ESPN and NFL Net, care that anyone watches the draft? They’re reporting this stuff because it’s what team reps are feeding the m

Also, who does Eisen work for? Who put out the report about Daniels not wanting to play in Washington (Shefter)- ESPN.
Pepe Silvia level stuff.

Bingo
I read some people getting -135 or -115, if I saw that I would have jumped on it.
I have a sizable bet.

I do too :-)
The most obvious reason that the agent leaked the information about the Top Golf incident is that the Commanders have told Daniels he's the pick and the agent wants to let the Commanders know that he (the agent) means business in the negotiations.

First, in reality it's more clicks equals more cents, not dollars.
Second, that has nothing to do with "creating drama" to get people to watch the draft.

I don't know man. If I pretend to be a NE fan, I can't seriously think the Pats would draft JJ over Maye.

NE is most likely going with Maye, that is what their media seems to believe with the JJ McCarthy hype fading fast as the draft approaches.
