Happy to report that I think I now have an accurate and FINAL list of the Giant's Top 30 visits for the 2024 draft.
Please note that the list has 35 names, but I have marked 5 of them with (LOCAL), as several beats have reported that the LOCAL don't count toward the 30 allowed. (Estime, Johnson, Robinson, Isaac, Melton are all LOCAL)
Here is my final list, sorted by position:
1. Drake Maye, QB North Carolina
2. J.J. McCarthy, QB Michigan
3. Michael Penix, Jr., QB Washington
4. Jayden Daniels, QB LSU
5. Bo Nix, QB Oregon
6. Spencer Rattler, QB South Carolina
7. Marvin Harrison Jr., WR Ohio St
8. Malik Nabers, WR LSU
9. Rome Odunze, WR Washington
10.Tejhaun Palmer, WR UAB
11.Trey Benson, RB Florida St
12.Audric Estime, RB Notre Dame (LOCAL)
12.Ben Sinnott, TE Kansas St
13.Theo Johnson, TE Penn St (LOCAL)

28. Max Melton, CB Rutgers (LOCAL)
29. Andru Phillips, CB Kentucky

33. Cam Hart, CB Notre Dame

35. Tyler Nubin, S Minnesota
Dearth of WRs outside of projected first round sticks out like a sore thumb. Either we're going WR early or have a very clear idea of who we like later on and don't feel a need to bring them in.
DTs are quick twitch guys. "Untapped potential" players.
There seems to be a priority for physicality and aggressiveness over pure athleticism and technique at DB.
WR or QB will be the pick in 1st. OL / DB day 2. DT day 3.
As I look at the Top 30 list, I clearly see 15-16 players that will be taken and off the board by pick 47.
Why would the Giants meet with so many top players with only having 2 picks in the top 47.
Based on the very high quality of talent in for Top 30s, my gut is telling me that we will be seeing trade down(s), and that the Giants hope to have more that 2 picks in the first two rounds.
Paul and Beebe they might be hoping slip to them in the third at 70.

Or, it could break that way and they want to be prepared? They’ve met with every possible top 10 pick too.
Joe scenario plans. He won’t be unprepared for any outcome.

I personally hope you're right

I think you’re spot on … the trade up talk stuff is smoke for what they really want to do … they’ll take a QB at some point ( not #6) but concentrate on BPA for WR, TE, CB and DL. I don’t think they take an OL unless a real gem somehow falls into their lap. Thanks much for compiling and sharing this list.
And Joe Alt
Audric Estime is from Nyack, NY and went to High School at Saint Joseph Regional High School in Montvale, New Jersey. That's why. There's a few ways to qualify for a local pro day.

then Cam Hart would be one, too.

Gotcha. Thanks. I wasn't aware that HS plays in, too. Good info!

Christian Mahogany is another one who went to the local pro day even though he went to Boston College. He's from Elmwood Park, New Jersey and went to Paramus Catholic.

I'm barely up to speed tracking these guys' colleges, let alone HS.
Fantastic data gathering here

I can't take credit for these. Y28 pointed out Estime to me when the visit first happened and Mahogany I got from Art Stapleton.
To make up this year's list, I tried to see the terms used to describe players that I know were local.
Examples are Chris Mahogony of Boston College and CJ Hanson of Holy Cross. Both of those local players (and possibly a few others) will be drafted this weekend. However, any report I found about them visiting the Giants called it a local pro day visit on Thursday April 4th. So I have not included those names on the TOP 30.
With the five names that I have added to get to 35, all five would have qualified as a "local pro day" attendee, but trusted reporters and websites specifically called their time with the Giants as "Top 30 visits". Thus why I treated them differently.
Just wanted to clarify how I finalized this years list.
Given that they've drafted 7(IIRC) guys from the two previous lists, safe to bet at least a couple of those names will Giants
Confirmed "likely draftable" players at Giants 4/4 local Pro Day
36. Christian Mahogony, OG Boston College
37. CJ Hanson, OL Holy Cross
38. Mohamed Kamara, Edge Colorado State
39. Kalen King, CB Penn State
40. Javontae Jean-Baptiste, Edge Notre Dame
Reported on only 1 site (Walters Football) as a TOP 30 that I DID NOT include because I couldn't find it reported anywhere else, but a player that will definitely be drafted.
41. Braden Fiske, DT Florida State
Remember that last year the Giants drafted 4 of the players that actually came to the Giants facility for a pre draft visit. Though my final list above is of 35 players, probably makes sense to monitor all 41 this weekend.

Yeah it can be very tricky sometimes, and appreciate the efforts. It is also made messy since they can do both the local pro day and then a Top 30, especially if there are medical concerns. Then there is something like Max Melton's attendance at the local pro day where he didn't even workout, they just invited him to meet with him.
It is a paid website, but I will say his list very closely resembles what we have posted.
Here is some solid information from his article that I will post:
"Local visits for prominent prospects are identical to the “30” visits, except for the stipulation that the team can’t provide transportation to and from the facility for local visitors.
Washington quarterback Michael Penix, Alabama edge rusher Dallas Turner and Washington State cornerback Chau Smith-Wade have been widely reported as visitors, but sources said those prospects didn’t visit.
Turner, who is a projected top-10 pick, canceled his planned visit after the Giants traded for edge rusher Brian Burns, according to a league source. Penix told ESPN after his pro day he planned to visit the Giants, but that didn’t take place. The Giants still spent plenty of time with Penix, who could be an option later in the first round or in the second round. Schoen, Brown, Daboll, Kafka, Tierney and director of player personnel Tim McDonnell met with Penix after Washington’s pro day".
I can't imagine the Giants NOT using all 30 of the allowed visits. Stands to reason that a few players that were official TOP 30s have not been reported.

This is Great work here, and it does make sense if they trade back in the 1st. Possibly trade back in the 1st and trade up in the 2nd or 3rd rounds. Could see 4-5 players from this list.

i see a team expecting to make 1 top 10 pick,
medically checking 2 first round picks who could fall due to jones fractures (tricky injury),
ready to shop the full range of day 2 picks,
and doing work on some lesser known day 3 dart throw types (like Hawkins last year).
Why would the Giants meet with so many top players with only having 2 picks in the top 47.
You're probably right. Another reason for the visits might be that front office recognizes that a lot of these guys are at some point going to hit free agency (or get cut) so maybe they look at this as an opportunity to assess the personalities of these players with an eye to determining whether they'd be a good fit.
Obviously, I have precisely zero evidence to support this theory, but it doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility.

I think it might because its really important to get pick 6 and 47 correct, so you invest heavily on players you think will be there. Also you may not like it, but there is potential trade downs which means more picks in this area so you need to do your research so you know how much that trade package is actually worth.
Would like to see us go a different position there, possibly WR if we don’t take one in round 1 but we shall see what happens. Nubin might not be there but then again I didn’t think McKinney would fall out of round 1 either. I like Melton too.
Maason Smith at 70? The DT group might look good in between 47 and 70

🚨@SDCoyotesFB OL Isaac Erbes has been contacted by the #Dolphins, #Vikings, #Texans, #Giants, #Falcons, and #Browns, per a league source.
Half a dozen teams have him on their radar, standing at 6'5", 329 lbs, the film is impressive.

i would be pretty surprised if we dont see them do at least 1 move similar to a few years ago on day 2 where they slid down a few times to pick up an extra 4th and another day 3 pick. #47 probably the best bet for where that happens just bc its the pick with most value.

You'll never convince me of Elway's interest in Jones, but you certainly called predicted the Wilson to Denver move. Well done. ;)

i figured convincing you is off the table but maybe hold a beat on things that may be possible (and in that case were publicly reported) even if you believe strongly something else.
Btw- great job as always. Thanks.
Btw- great job as always. Thanks.
both years half of their picks have been from visit lists.
last year banks, jms, hyatt, hawkins.
in 2022 thibs, neal, flott and i think post-draft belton, bellinger, ezeudu, and davidson said they'd all visited as well (but hadnt been reported ahead of time).

totally agree andy.
melton or sanristril or nubin or phillips or hart
and
jenkins or newton or fiske or dorlus or orhoro
would go a long way to helping the defense. can never have enough DL or DBs.
I could see a trade up in the third round similar to the deal for Hyatt. Schoen gets antsy when players he wants are hanging out there. A trade up of more than a slot or two would be too costly in the 2d round
