but LeBron is definitely #1 on the short list. Most NBA players will work refs and complain but he’s just on a whole other planet with it. Was beautiful to witness that loss.
and I'm not a fan myself, ever since he broke my heart as a Knicks fan with "the decision." But he is still such an amazing player. If it wasn't for some heroics by Denver, LeBron had willed the Lakers to victory late in the game. With how good LeBron still is at freakin 39 years old, he makes a good damn argument for the best player of all time now.
Simply because those old enough the trials and tribulations of Jordan peaking thru the likes of Cleveland/ Detroit/ NY who relentlessly battered him. Lebron isn’t in the same conversation, period. With his constant whining, flopping- his mental makeup could never, ever, forge ahead in the 80/90’s NBA.

To me a hater is someone who denies how good a player is, which I don’t do. He’s great, best of this era. But there are things I don’t like about how he plays and his impact on the game during the back half of his career has been a detriment to the league, IMO.

Absolutely in the mix. Never seen a clear top 3/4 guy in his sports history be as delusionally put down as LeBron. Phenomenal athlete and by all accounts a solid person. Homeless child to billionaire based on nothing but talent and hard work. Child celebrity who more than lived up to the hype and kept his head straight.
He’s simply one of the great athletes in the worlds history.
Oldest player in the league still playing like this. Insane player. Problem is he’s went from “MVP” level player to “All-NBA 2nd/3rd” team level and that little difference has allowed others like Jokic and the Nuggets among others to surpass him. Still just absurd what he’s doing as the oldest player in the league.
I’d put it like this. MJ is LT. LeBron is Reggie White. Pretty much the general consensus is one guy is 1st all-time due to peak dominance and the other is 2nd all-time with slightly less peak dominance but a ton more longevity. But just like Reggie still had an argument over LT, LeBron absolutely has one over MJ too.
Sick games last night.
Yeah I guess I'm in the minority but the dude is almost 40
I have to give up the hate. He is an unbelievable basketball player. in over 20 years he barely has declined. I really hated him during the Miami years because of sour Knicks fan grapes and the fact that he took the easy way out by teaming up with Bosh and Wade and my white hot hate for Pat the Rat and the Heat will never die. However I've always admired him both stints with the Cavs and these past few years with the lakers when they weren't a super team and he and them have struggled just like the rest of us. I could do without the flopping and the whining and that does diminish some from his greatness, but I've decided recently to just let go of the hate.
It’s hating his antics. He’s the poster boy of crying and blaming others when things don’t go his way. He gets coaches fired, players traded, and attacks officials when he loses.
He’s too good to be a sore loser.
RE: There aren’t many players I enjoy watch losing

MJ, was a killer. The only reaon you hated him, a becaue you couldnt beat him. But you repected him. And played in one city - forever loved.
Kobe a a killer, in at all costs. Again, you respected him, and he played in one city - forever loved.
LBJ talent is undeniable, and stats/longevity are incredible. But he is an unlikable whiny little bitch who only won because he kept joining super teams. Extremely unlikable.
If Lebron had the same career but had a public personality
like a Grant Hill or a Tim Duncan or whoever, I think people in general would discuss his career vs. Jordan in a more favorable light and not get as defensive or heated about his name being in the same sentence.
Every star has an ego, but Lebron just comes off as annoying and has a lack of self awareness. Every famous public figure says something cringey every now and then, but he seems to have a knack for it. Fans want their stars to either be bland or supremely confident, not insecure or whiny.
because of the whining he and the media did on his behalf, early in his career to get him out of Cleveland, a team that he had already gone to the finals with, so that he could join a super team so that he would finally quit losing to Boston and finally some winning credibility to justify calling him "the King".
One of the most physically gifted players ever, up there with Magic in terms of versatility and as a distributor. Not half the competitor of guys like Bird and Jordan.
A huge douche and crybaby on top of all that.
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen anyone get more favorable calls…
get away with more, (think 6step layups) and generally received more preferential treatment from the officials, and then bitch about them as much as LBJ.
Go away Lebron. Your act is old and tiresome. You choked in game 1, your team blew a 20 point lead. It’s over.
Go retire.

I 2nd that emotion! I don't know if any league has ever had a more unlikable superstar.
Michael Jordan killed the Knicks, but I never disliked him as much as I do Lebron.
He’s one of the greats, but sorta looking forward to him hanging it up.

Durant 1B for me.
