Gut feeling: Is Nabers there @ 6?

SFGFNCGiantsFan : 4/23/2024 7:58 pm
Starting to think he might be gone based on Feldman's article, where a lot of people have him ranked above Marvin. I'd still put $ on Harrison Jr. going above him to 'Zona, but I could see LAC taking him or trading back with a team-the Jets?-that'll take him @ 5.
Nope

that neither MHJ nor Nabers might not be there. Would be perfectly sensible for both AZ and LAC (assuming no trades) to go WR.

In which case OT enters the discussion at 6, not just qb/wr/trade down.
I believe

He will be. I’d be fine with Odunze too
If I’m the only one saying it, I’ll still say it

It’s very very very likely that this won’t be the first draft ever to have 4 quarterbacks go in the top 6.
JJ could definitely be the one to fall to 6.

I suspect MN's target is Maye. Not sure how aggressive they're going after JJ. This QB going 1-4 was never certain.
If both nabers and MHJ are gone
nochance : 4/23/2024 8:07 pm : link
means at least one of the top 4 QB's will be available
Yes
gameday555 : 4/23/2024 8:08 pm : link
I think MHJ will go to Cardinals and someone will move in front of us for JJM. Faction of FO will advocate for Odunze because of his character, but Nabers wins out. In lieu of a QB, this would be my preferred scenario and the one that I think will play out, too.

It will absolutely and positively not be an OL at #6. I will go out and say even if they trade back to 8-12 to get more picks, an OL will not be taken in round 1.
My gut says Odunze
AROCK1000 : 4/23/2024 8:13 pm : link
Is the beat fit...assuming MHJ is gone.
Assuming the Patriots stay at 3 and take Maye
GFAN52 : 4/23/2024 8:21 pm : link
McCarthy I believe will go at picks 4 or 5. One of Nabers or MHjr will be there at 6.
No.
AcidTest : 4/23/2024 8:24 pm : link
I think AZ takes him if the proposed three-team deal between them, us, and NE doesn't happen.

The odds makers have a different view.

4. Marvin Harrison Jr.: -240
J.J. McCarthy: +400
Drake Maye: +650
Jayden Daniels: +1500
Something to file away

Last year, cardinals drafted a ton of known high character guys -- not one of them had even a whiff of a character concern as I recall, which is somewhat uncommon. Also, this will be Joe Hortiz's first draft for the LAC, and a regime's first draft tends to skew safer. Mayock's hideous first draft with the raiders where they took Clelin Ferrell at 3 was the epitome of that.

So while reports out there are that Nabers might even be ahead of MHJ on most teams' boards, I would wager that this is not the case for ARI / LAC.
The Athletic conviced me today that Nabers will be the 1st WR drafted

Rather have Odunze than Nabers…guts a weird gut feeling about Nabers that he will go via Joker route..just a feeling…

I'm hoping the teams ahead of us don't "force the QB pick" and all pick WRs. If it's good for us why shouldn't it be for them?
No
jhibb : 4/23/2024 9:36 pm : link
I'm guessing trades or no trades, it goes 1.Williams 2.Daniels 3.Maye 4.Harrison or Nabers 5.Nabers or Harrison

It's a different era so "the first draft ever" doesn't cover as much time as the word "ever" would suggest. The league is more about the QB position and the passing game than it's "ever" been so the probability of four quarterbacks going in the top six is as great as its "ever" been, especially given it's a year in which six quarterbacks have favorable enough traits to be considered with a first round pick.
p.s.--Can six quarterbacks go in the top 13?
My guess

1.Williams 2.Daniels 3.JJM 4.MHJ 5.Maye (trade) 6.Nabers, Rome or trade down
Nope.
BigBlueNH : 4/23/2024 9:53 pm : link
It'll go Williams, Daniels, Maye, MHJ, Nabers. No trades. We'll get Odunze, or JJM if we want him.
No I think he will go top 5
averagejoe : 4/23/2024 10:47 pm : link
and I don't view Odunze as a sure thing as many do . Not sure he has the quickness to separate in NFL. I don't see him as a good fit for Giants but he will be the pick if it is not QB . Rather trade back and take Penix
My gut
knowledgetimmons : 4/23/2024 11:07 pm : link
JJ is there at 6.

Nabers/Harrison could be there

Odunze is better than Nabers long term. Toomer esque.

Giants trade out of 6 for a team that wants JJ. Unless Harrison.

After potential trade Giants select a CB and WR in round 1. In that order. Draft is already perfect.
Nabers and/or Odunze will be there at 6
nygiantfan : 4/23/2024 11:11 pm : link
No one will be able to tell you which one one though.
