I've definitely talked about this on the board before, but I'm not so self involved that, posting a dozen times a year, I think people will remember it but... My son, Charlie, was born at the start of football season in 2022. That year the Giants won their first playoff game in 11 years, the Knicks won their first playoff series in 10 years, and this little dude just does not know, nor could he conceive, a world where the UConn Huskies are not champs. Because of this, he's earned the nickname "Good Luck Chuck."
I let him watch the first half of game 1 against the '6ers, put him down at half time, and when I put him down, he said "I love you," to me for the first time. Our house is like MSG east at this point, going absolutely nuts. My wife, who couldn't give a shit less about sports, is now dialed in. Well, as much as she can be - which is mostly just calling Embiid ugly, asking how he can shoot so well, and trying to identify "which one is Josh Hart" (once she learned about iHart, it's been an uphill battle ever since). Then, game 2 happens. I'm yelling at the TV, she's yelling at me, my son's switching out pacifiers like an Irish grandmother chainsmokes cigarettes, producing enough cortisol to petrify a horse - it's fuckin pandemonium.
Again, he goes to bed at half time. The second half is wild, after Lowry's foul gets reversed I lose my mind, she tells me to calm down, somehow I end up threatening my in-laws, you know how it goes. Anyway, fast forward to 45ish seconds left, Lowry ends up at the line after a rough couple minutes and a less egregious foul than he committed, if memory serves, and I just go, "Damn, I think it's over." My wife goes "Why? There's almost a minute left." And I go, "Yah, I've just watched this team for a long time, we don't win these ones. We blew a lead, everything's going well for the '6ers, and it seems like they got the refs." And she goes, "But we have Good Luck Chuck." Then without missing a beat, Lowry doinks the FT, that prayer of a 3 from Brunson floats in the air for an eternity before falling, and iHart making the best assist of the year, possibly in Knicks history, as a center no less, and she's Italian so DiVo knocking down the dagger was just icing on the cake.
Now my wife has demanded that, since I have my Brunson jersey, her and Charlie need DiVo and Hart jerseys, and if she can be this cool, and he's been this lucky, it'd be blasphemous to not deliver. Problem is, I've checked the NBA Store, Fanatics, the only place I've found with toddler jerseys is MSG's site, which only has Ewing jerseys.
I figured a fun story might help my search here, but if you guys know of any places I might luck out on finding a 2T Hart jersey for a Toddler, or Brunson (at this point me finding a Hart jersey for me might be easier), I'd greatly appreciate it.
