a year ago werent you posting enthusiastically that they had extended jones? i get the assessment changing a year later with a new year of almost all bad data but you seem to be trying a bit too hard to ignore what actually happened in 2022.
I don’t think so. I wasn’t bashing the deal at the time because I legit thought Dabs could unlock more out of Jones. Jones lost me for good with the pick six vs. Seattle.

& Jones does seem like a good kid who works hard and is a good teammate by all accounts. But it’s over. He was beyond atrocious last season and throw in the injury history…we can’t move on soon enough in my opinion.

agreed it would be really smart if they brought in a kid like drake maye and showed him some film of their offense when it's looked good to see if he's a good fit. maybe even do the same thing with a few others like jjm in case maye gets picked at 3. that would seem like a totally good idea and not something to try way too hard nitpicking into a bad thing.
DJ from a technical standpoint is pretty good given the dysfunction and utter chaos around him. I'm sure there's plenty of tape of him making fundamentally sound drops, reads, timing, footwork etc.
Hopefully Maye didn't get scared shitless watching the lack of blocking and scrub skill players.

Exactly, It makes sense to show plays and pause during presnap, ask questions, then pause again post snap, and ask questions.
I would think this would standard process when talking to any QB prospect, why wouldnt you do this?
