Daniel Jeremiah (one of the most accurate experts) has us passing on McCarthy at 6, and instead drafting Malik Nabers.
Charles Davis has us passing up Drake Maye at 6, instead taking Nabers.
Bucky Brooks has us passing on McCarthy at 6, instead taking Nabers.
Connor Rogers has us passing on McCarthy at 6, instead taking Nabers.
ESPN NFL Nations beat reporter mock has us taking Nabers after all top-4 QB options are gone.
Tony Pauline has us taking Marvin Harrison Jr. after the Vikings jump ahead of us to get McCarthy.
Benjamin Allbright has us taking Nabers after the Vikings jump ahead of us to get McCarthy.
Bobby Skinner and Talkin’ Giants has us taking Nabers, but they also avoided making any trades within their mock.
Bottom line? Doesn’t seem like anyone of note offhand has us actually getting a Daniel Jones replacement. Does that truly matter? No. They aren’t the ones filling out the card to hand in, at the end of the evening. But if New England takes Maye at 3, it seems unlikely the Giants take McCarthy at 6, or trade up to acquire him.
This is just food for thought, take from it what you will.
But we may soon find out that listening to these "experts" mock anything is fool's errand.

From your fingertips to God's ears. Hopefully we walk away with a new QB. I'm fine with either Maye or JJMC. Either. Getting Nabers is nice, but with Jones under center, it severely limits any sort of upside that he theorhetically has.
dude.. Nabers is an incredible prospect. There is a strong chance he somewhere between Tyreek Hill and DJ Moore. Wherever he is in that spectrum is a tremendous player. We just need to get him a great QB and then we're talking. And with Nabers I'll be happy with any of the 6 top starters. If we don't add a QB it's a waste.

Could be torched for saying this but Nabers is just about the only player that I’d be disappointed with.

Nobody gets the WR then the QB..doesn't work well that way...

Really? Any of the 6? Do you think they will all be great QBs?

No. I have no idea who will be great. I think CW will have the best career. But anybody can flame out. But they are all promising with excellent, unknown ceilings. Whereas we know what we have in our present QB room. I could see this class having several decent starting QBs in the NFL. If there was one superstar and 4 guys who started for several years or more, this will be a great class. And just getting a competent starter will transform the Giants. We have been watching a team with backup quality play since 2017. We have forgotten how a good QB can transform a team.
Jones
As a reminder, Yates used to exclusively cover New England and he has a LOT of ties within that building.
