Many of you might know that Sean Payton was pining for Mahomes with the 11th overall pick as Saints Head Coach in 2017. They even called Drew Brees to let him know. And then Andy Reid swooped in with a big trade and scooped Mahomes away from Payton. If Payton gets Mahomes he probably wins two more Super Bowls. Instead he got Lattimore. that's a great pick too, but it's not Mahomes.
Payton always regretted not seizing the moment and assuring he got Mahomes with a trade up. Aggressive is good. And Joe Schoen should heed this lesson.
So here we are with the 6th pick in possibly the best QB draft in a generation, with 6 first round QBs on the board. The Giants must get their QB this year. It's time. I'll be happy with any of them. Trade up for one of them if we have to.

After the top 2 I don't see any Mahomes. But Maye and Penix have a lot of upside - Herbert/Stroud upside. But even short of that would be a great improvement for this team.
