I'll preface by saying that I have no strong opinion regarding the QBs and will be happy if Giant's management gets their QB this year.
But the narrative that next year's QB class is weak is premature. Heading into this college season, we only heard about Williams and Maye. I didn't hear anything about Jayden Daniels or JJ McCarthy. They emerged as the season progressed (ala Joe Burrow).
Going back further, we heard about Luck, Lawrence, Tua, and Sam Darnold. I don't recall hearing much about Mahomes or Allen the year before.
So there's no reason to think that other QBs will emerge in the next class. I don't want Schoen to shop for a QB hungry this year.
We're in a pretty good position now to draft QB and it seems unlikely that we'd be in a better position next year. Even if say two QBs do emerge, we'd have to be picking first or second overall - otherwise we're in the same boat now of having to trade up, except with likely fewer QBs to trade up for.
Only two that I am liking right now are Dart and Ward. The other 4 are ranked higher in a lot of rankings, but i especially like Dart.
I don't see us having a better pick than this year with a lower SOS and what I predict to be an improved team with fewer crucial injuries. QB this year and then maybe we could get McMillan if we are bad enough and keep our 2025 1st. He could be a better prospect than any of the top 3 WRs this year. He's really got the total package

Yea this is the real issue. Jones will have a stud WR1 and if he stays relatively healthy (or Lock performs decently) they won’t be drafting in the top 10.
Time is also ticking for Schoen/Daboll, and there’s at least a little pressure knowing Belichick needs a job next year.
What happens if we pick lower than 6th next year?
He was just a Sophomore though
The guy was a 5 star recruit and top QB recruit in nation who went 37-2 in HS and won a 2 separate HS national titles at different schools and different states and a HS National Title. He received a scholarship offer when he was in 8th grade
He didnt come out of no where
There always are???
How about 2019, 2021, 2022?
Priorities.
Priorities.
No need to force any position with the current state of the Giants. We need to land at least one of our top 15.
1. Williams 2. Penix 3. Maye 4. Nix 5. Travis 6. Rising
7. Hartman 8. McCarthy 9. Daniels 10. Daniels (Kansas)
I remember hearing a lot of Williams and Maye as the two top QB's heading into 2023.
One thing I did see with some of the QB's in college next season is a few of them are a little on the smaller side. I will watch a few games of Dart and Milroe next season. I see Dart raising his profile a lot next season.
When do you think it makes sense to be more serious about adding one...next year, 3 years, 5 years from now?
So, the year after Andrew Luck went with the #1 pick, the 2013 draft produced precisely Geno Smith (2nd round) and no other credible starter.
2014 produced Bortles, Manziel, Bridgewater, Garropolo and Derek Carr.
2015 famously had Winston and Mariota going #1 and #2. Neither established themselves as credible starters.
That's three successive drafts with slim pickings.
If you see a guy you like this year, then the argument would be a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
With better D & better OL/coaching, there's no guarantee we'll be this close next yr. Get it done tonight.
It probably won't be a better class than this year though. And we probably won't be picking higher.
So are we going to be 3-6 in the fall debating about whether we should root for losses? Are we going to be here next spring at pick #9 debating about giving up a huge package to get to #3 even though the QB "have warts" and "aren't a sure thing$. Sure let's just do that again. One more year of Giants football wasted. Still on the road to nowhere.
