listen I don't blame Thibs one iota. His D and offensive rebounding was a huge factor in that win. In the playoffs you can't worry about 2 games down the road. You do the best to win the one in front of you and worry about the next one when it happens. He hadn't played anything close to 30 minutes since December and you knew his body would pay for it.

But I can't believe they'll sit him entirely unless he's really in bad shape.

Shouldn't be too bad considering he had surgery in December. But, getting it back to great condition will take time. Game 1 was his first time playing 30+ min since December so I wouldn't be surprised if they sit him out of caution.

With the way the Sixers have bitched publicly, I've seen this way too much before. The refs have way too much control over games. I expect this game to be the Knicks vs. the Sixers and refs.

As far as Mitch goes, if he misses it then it is only 1 game. I'd rather him as healthy as possible for the rest of the series than just tonight. If he's able to go then great. Precious is probably begging to play and, honestly, I love what he brings. He'd keep our huge rebounding advantage going while still being able to provide some offense.

Embid has decided rebounding and defense are not important. If you spread them out it's 5-4 and have everyone continue to crash the boards hard.
He is going to get his in the first half but keep him moving and push pace.

I just can't see Embiid holding up for the 4-5 more games they would need to win. Maxey is a beast I think he can continue to thrive.

They have been trying but what Phikky does is use Hart's man to switch with Embiid so he doesnt have to move, thats why Hart has been so open

which is why Hart should maybe sit once in a while. Yes he's made them pay but they haven't been able to get Brunson going and the offense has really bogged down at times. If things start clicking and Embiid is a statue on defense, we can blow them out.

Reducing minutes in relation to how the game is going is one thing. Sitting entirely is another.

because I expect the officials to give the Sixers an endless parade to the free throw line.

I think this game comes down to the role players because the Knicks depth has been exceptional and the Sixers haven’t done jackshit outside of a few quarters from Kyle Lowry. Embiid (in his current form) and Maxey can’t be expected to play better than they have so far. The Sixers need their other players to step up.

The Knicks could really use Jalen Brunson getting back to himself in order to take the pressure off of everyone else.

When Mitch isn’t able to move well he’s not a useful player. You can tell which Mitch you’re almost getting immediately. Thibs gets to see him practice so I’ll trust his judgement.

I’m ok not having game 2 Mitch play today if it helps us get game 1 Mitch back later in the series.
