are trying to goat people to trade up. They do not want to pick at 3.
If they want Maye or McCarthy they will have to. If they trade back to #6 they will potentially be in the same boat we could be at #6 - all of the top 4 QBs are off the board.
If they trade out of #3 it is because they value the draft picks more than Maye and McCarthy.
I suspect both LAC and AZ want Nabers or MHJ and neither are willing to move down to 11. Remember Harbaugh has never traded down in the first. There's a real chance we could get Maye for say 2025 2nd and pick 70 or 107. I'd prefer JJM, but either of them for that cost is good with me.
Arizona will not go lower than 6. So the only way we lose out is if Arizona insists on Marvin at 4. If the rumors are true that we have a tentative deal in place with Arizona then we get Maye...
From this leaking out is AZ. They can use that info to drive up bidding for 4..
I really don't think AZ or LAC want to miss out on Nabers or MHJ. There might be a much bigger drop to Odunze than most realize. Plus, Odunze wouldn't be there at 11 either. Harbaugh can get Morgan or Seumalia for RT with their 2nd round pick.

This compensation makes sense and provides everyone with the player they want.
I think the best idea for NYG is offer AZ pick 6 and 2025 2nd round pick to move up to pick 4. Get in position to get a QB, then offer NE pick 70 to swap places. They Get JJM we get Maye.
Otherwise offer NE 6, 70 and 2025 2nd round pick to NE to get to 3.
The Cardinals can still trade down with the Vikings and then trade up with the Chargers. I posted about this threat a week or two ago.
They could but it's much easier to go from 6 to 5 (if they indeed want Harrison badly enough) than it is from 11 to 5. They might even have Harrison and Nabers close enough that they don't care either

I don't think Harbaugh wants to move down for the first time when he has the chance at 2 all pro potential wr prospects. I really think the Vikings are boxed out.

Adding to this, that would mean JJ is there at 6. After that interview yesterday, maybe JJ knows something we don't

Ugh, only blame yourself if that happens for all of your preaching that you don’t pick a RT top-10, which LAC are supposedly targeting.
I firmly believe both AZ and LAC want Nabers or MHJ. They are likely the two top rated players in the entire draft. Once again, Harbaugh had never traded down and LAC have 2 receivers on their roster currently. Count em, 2!

They have Palmer, Johnson, Derius Davis and Fehoko (non-factor). It's not so dire that they can't wait until the 2nd round. At 37 there should be some good options
So my guess is, a slight trade back with the Giants is still the most sensible move for either. So if the Pats pass on Maye, then it would seem that the trade up from us to either four or five to get him would not have to include our 2025 first round pick.
The idea that a North Carolina Tar Heel could again be the savior of this franchise is beginning to actually feel possible. The ten minutes the Pats are on the clock tonight will be interminable.
Hard to say. Minnesota will likely offer #11, #23, and their #1 and #3 next year. Schoen would have to offer #6, #47, and our #1 next year to compete with that, which he might unfortunately do. But if he does, I think Arizona would take that offer.
And we are looking at Nabers or Harrison if we don’t put together a huge package just to move up 2-3 spots, which might be hard for us to do.
I can totally see this happening. We get boxed out of getting one of the top four QBs. Then, the DJFC will be rejoicing tonight (unless we make another move for Penix/Nix).
I don’t care. Oh no, I stay at 6 and and draft an elite prospect at a premium position and don’t have to give away valuable draft capital. Unclutch the pearls boys, we can’t lose here.
Bears trade up for MHjr we get #9...and unless 7 and 8 picks are both Nabers and Odunze...we would probably get one of the top WR's a ton of extra draft capital.
Then I was okay with JJM being their for JS
Now it's sounding like my initial hope is going to come true
Maye the Force be with us!
I don't. These things rarely, if ever go our way
Let Cowden work out a small trade up with AZ and get the 18-year old Scotch ready.

Exactly. Kraft wants to pick JJM too.

Everyone knows they want JJM, and they can't trade down. It's like they didn't even think it through.
Let's go!!!!

And this has been known for a while for the guys that matter.
That's why Sean Payton said weeks ago - "It's good to be Monti right now."
Everyone knows they want JJM, and they can't trade down. It's like they didn't even think it through.
Kraft being vocal about loving JJM and reportedly he only met with him, none of the other QBs. Plus a first year GM equals this.
That’s what I’d expect a team who wants to take JJM to say
They can't trade to 11, if Kraft doesn't get JJM and he looks great with Minnesota which he likely would then Wolf is fired on the spot.

Yeah, bullshit on a shingle Kraft. And your gluten free Mac N Cheese is terrible.
