Trade Up Tonight

DG23. : 4/25/2024 11:19 am
Do we think Giants trade up with Patriots at 3 for a QB? Do we think they trade up with Cardinals at 4 since supposedly Cardinals don't want to trade back anywhere farther than 6? Let's hear some thoughts. I personally hope they trade up and can make it work and get Maye.

some people here are very sarcastic or crass, dont let it bring you down.

Now test to see if you can figure out the function on how to delete a thread you created.

To answer your question, much depends on the following:

(1) Do the Commanders really take Daniels? Because if they don't, everything changes.

(2) Assuming the Commanders take Daniels, are the reports about Kraft falling love with McCarthy accurate? If so, that changes everything.

(3) There is an asshat report that the Vikings would trade up for Maye, but not McCarthy. Is that accurate? Who the hell knows? But the answer to that question changes everything.

There are scenarios where McCarthy or Maye could even fall to six, but that would be awfully risky for the Giants to wait that out.

Penix has many issues. Maye is a 21 year old with a big arm, great size and athleticism.
Let's start with this newbie

Is Jones legit or not legit? Be very careful how you answer this.

Who has better tape and arm talent ?
Awfully risky to trade 2 #1 picks

for a QB who by consensus is not a big step up from Penix or McCarthy. Whatever they do there is risk. To escape criticism probably safest to trade down and pick one of the 2nd tier QBs and the top player in the draft at almost any position other than QB and WR.

Maye probably has the biggest upside of ANY QB in this draft, but his floor is the lowest. He is a BIG swing for the Home RUN!
Much of BBI I think would be happy if the Giant’s

landed Maye at any price. Is he one of the top tier of 3 as he was talked about even a month ago? Has he fallen from tier 1 to tier 2? It’s just not easy to predict which college players will make it in the pros. we know because there are so many misses on first round quarterbacks, despite all the careful scouting and evaluation that happens before a quarterback is taken high..

With the missed pick of Neal in the top 10, throwing away two first round picks on a QB who wasn’t good (enough could easily lead to the end of this GM, and possibly this loyal fan of over 60 years.).

Welcome! Great day to sign up. Despite our profound differences about what the Giants should do, we all love the team.
