If our guy is there at #5

Think a 3rd rounder is enough for a switch?
I was

thinking 4th to move up one spot so yes a 3rd should be enough.
Depends on who they're bidding against. Does Minnesota offer
Strahan91 : 4/25/2024 1:21 pm : link
up both their 1sts for the pick? In that case I don't think a 3rd is enough
Not nearly enough if Maye is on the board

You're competing with the Vikings.

youre assuming chargers are fine going down to 11...

we arent competing with ANYONE if chargers say hell no, we arent missing out on nabers or alt. if they want one of two, offer a 4th... its an easy take for them
I would start with a 4th next year...

and go from there.
At most a third. No need for desperation.

If the Chargers are willing to move back to eleven, then we are out. The poker skill here is realizing just how valuable the sixth pick is in this draft given how the three WRs are valued. So do not bid against yourself. At worst, you will get one of the top three players in the draft. At best, you give up a third round pick to lock in Drake Maye. No lose situation for the Giants.
If I remember correctly

We traded a 3rd round pick to move up 1 spot for Shockey in 2002. So yeah a 3rd should get it done.
I think we’re in trouble if it’s at 5

If the Chargers are willing to trade it’s because they are forgoing the blue chips and want say the RT who will be there at 11. They can get a couple of 1sts at least from Minn and still get their guy. Trading back to 6 doesn’t net them enough. It’s move to 4 or wait until 6.
