but having that skillset rarely turns into a Purdy. It basically all has to click for that to happen and you almost never see that. Usually you need some plus physical attributes to even stand a chance.

of Purdy, but I don’t think he has the accuracy. I like Pratt, actually watched a couple of Tulane games, but he screams NFL backup to me. It is also fair to ask how well Purdy would do in an offense not designed by Shanahan.

He's he's not been bullish on JJM for a while. Nobody I listen to is big on JJM incl Waldman. Though the Franchise Guy said he rewatched his film and now sees a little... still behind Maye and Penix though.

and let’s see how he does. I’m not saying he’s a bad QB by any means, but he’s got a tremendous number of weapons compared to most QB’s along with a very good offensive line and a smart coach who knows how to mix the run and pass game:

Randy Mueller has been a big advocate for JJ. Doesn't matter, in the end, because the only opinions who matter are Daboll and Schoen.

I would agree with that, but he has nowhere near the arm talent of Penix, and he’s not as accurate as Nix. If Pratt’s ceiling is a good NFL backup, he’s worth a 4th rounder, but teams expecting to find the next Brock Purdy will likely be disappointed.


As I said, I like Pratt, he’s smart and really tough. He’s a decent athlete, probably a little better than Purdy there, but he’s not Jayden Daniels.

He won't lead the league in YPA at a top 5 all time rate, but he'll do ok.

Deebo and Kittle had just a few targets in the Super Bowl...targets, not catches.

If he couldn't make it happen with no name guys they wouldn't have been close in the SB let alone made it.
