Is the fact that the 3 guys available to us went 2, 4 and 6 picks behind us. That said, there really shouldn’t be any argument that we would have over drafted any of them at 6. It’s not like they went in the late teens/late first. The market is the market and we decided not to play the price for a legit QB option. It was so obvious the QB had to be taken at 6 the way the market was setting up.
I am not a QB guru, but it was obvious to anyone paying attention that there would be no QB options in round 2, or even late round 1.
Sorry you didn’t get your QB. Boo hoo.

Exactly! Fu(%ing crybabies

What a stupid take. So you think if one of those 3 QBs pan out and Schoen didnt correctly pick which one then we failed here?

It's a win now team. Go win.
If not, there are really good coaches out there next year.

Your hopes or expectations?
I mean, we all hope for playoffs, but while the off-season is still incomplete and there have been some improvements, I fear you may be disappointed if that's your expectation. Hope I'm proven wrong.

A win now team??? Surely you can't be serious.
We can’t argue that’s what they think. We can argue weather their right or wrong
Agreed. It feels like it does after a Giants loss.
3 attainable 1st round QB options and we punt.
Unbelievable.

They just gave their $40M QB a legit WR1. Explain how they aren't. Their actions are saying they are.

Maybe Minnesota had McCarthy rated 25th but felt they had to take him because they were desperate for a QB.

This is only not a huge miss if Nabers is an All Pro year after year.

We passed on QBs to get a WR in an exceptionally deep Wr draft. Yes, if we passed on a solid QB to get a slight upgrade at WR, the Giants made a huge mistake.
Even someone with your clear challenges should understand that.
And I honestly think NE was stringing teams along. They quickly took Maye - believe I saw Kraft on the phone with 5 minutes to go. I believe Maye was their pick from the get go.

Where on earth did you get the idea an expensive QB is any good ?
Certainly not from watching Daniel Jones play. His pic 6 vs Seattle last year gets a HS QB benched
This implies the organization likes Jones more which is absurd.

Who effing cares what other teams think? They couldn’t have reached? Just because other teams drafted players you wanted obviously doesn’t mean the Giants felt the same way.
Joe Schoen literally said he had 15 1st round grades on players. I’m betting only Caleb, Daniels and Maye were the only QBs on that list. And Nabers most likely had the highest grade on their board.

6 wrs went round and I bet another 6 go before pock 47. The pickings will be slim. Would you have been happier with JJM at 6?

I always shy away from a sky is falling mentality but not this time. I’m done with the Daniel Jones storyline. I just thought Schoen and Daboll were too.

Agreed, Nabers was likely one of the top players on their board and qbs 4-6 likely weren't graded as 1st rd for them. Whether right or wrong, that is likely true.

I think his point is, the Giants management is acting as though the team is win-now.
#4 drafted OT on a big contract
#7 drafted OT
#6 drafted WR
#17 drafted DT on a big contract
#4 drafted edge
FA edge in a big contract
#25 drafted CB
This is it. We've got to be pushing for an appearance in the NFC title game, right?

in year 3 playoffs should 100% be the expectation.
Sean Payton thinks highly enough of Bo Nix.
KOC thinks highly enough of JJ McCarthy.
The Falcons drafted Penix after signing Cousins.
Joe Schoen just told us how he felt about Daniel Jones. This is HIS QB. This was his chance to pivot.
Go win.

Fortunately the Giants subscribe to the adage that the best time to shop for a QB is when you already have one, and they have three.

I want Jones gone, I generally like you as a poster, but you and SF are becoming as annoying as Jack stroud and eight shamrocks. This is a very dumb take
Maybe comparing the QBs to Maye left some glaring negatives towards those QBs that moved them down the board.
Couldnt get a deal done to get to 3, oh well we made a great pick, lets make some more.

Why did he try to trade up for Maye?
