Leaving the QB out of it, consistency could go a long way

A lot of people point to Andrew Thomas going out against Dallas as the moment the tide turned and they focus on that one injury as the 'excuse' that is either valid or invalid for what happened thereafter.

I present the following breakdown of Giants starters for the weeks QB1 played last year, based on snap count, as reason for hope.

If the season started today, the Giants would have 6 different starters on offense than they started 2023 with. 5 of 6 are objectively more talented than the player they are replacing. Get excited!

Week 1 / 0-40 Loss to Dallas (1-0)
Thomas-Bredeson-Schmitz-Glowinski-Neal
Campbell-Slayton-Hodgins-Bellinger-Barkley

Week 2 / 31-28 Win over Cardinals (0-2)
McKethan-Ezeudu-Schmitz-Glowinski/Bredeson-Neal
Campbell-Slayton-Hodgins-Waller-Barkley

Week 3 / 12-30 Loss to 49ers (3-0)
McKethan-Ezeudu-Schmitz-Lemieux-Neal
Campbell-Slayton-Hodgins-Waller-Barkley

Week 4 / 3-24 Loss to Seahawks (3-1)
McKethan-Ezeudu-Glowinski/Lemieux-Bredeson-Neal
Slayton-Robinson-Hyatt-Waller-Breida

Week 5 / 16-31 Loss to Dolphins (4-1)

SB was a huge loss. RB production in the three games without him:

SF: 9c/22y, Sea 18c/38 and Mia 22c/46y. Under 2.2 ypc isn't going to cut it. With the OL playing and skill players it would be an extremely difficult situation for just about every QB.

When SB came back against Buffalo, RB production was 29c/108y.
