Would Powers-Johnson be overkill?

Stars_and_stripes : 4/26/2024 11:52 am
4th round pick gets NYG to 38-40 range. Sy has an 86 grade on him. Plays all 3 IOL spots and can be JMS insurance . Could be our next Snee at RG for the next decade.

the OL with this team is never overkill.
Not at all
Optimus-NY : 4/26/2024 11:53 am : link
LOVE the player.
However

Giants can ill-afford to lose picks and my guess is gone well before we pick.
Taking him in the 2nd
Capt. Don : 4/26/2024 11:55 am : link
An Eagles type move.

1st round OL drops to 2nd and you take him before you need him.

Only concern is the rumors about concussions.

Depends. If Newton or the Clemson DT are there, I imagine that value would be significantly higher than a guard.
This would be a DREAM
Festina Lente : 4/26/2024 11:58 am : link
knockout the park pick. Can play as guard or center.
It's possible there's a run on WR and CB
Metnut : 4/26/2024 12:04 pm : link
at the beginning of day 2. If he slips to NYG's pick, would be a homerun.
I read he was a bad interview
English Alaister : 4/26/2024 12:08 pm : link
But then I also read Nabers is high maintenance and volatile so theres that.
Nope
X : 4/26/2024 12:18 pm : link
but may require a trade up to get him
I would move
TommyWiseau : 4/26/2024 12:42 pm : link
Up for him. He is a powerhouse
Maybe not overkill

But doubt that’s where Schoen is thinking about using his 2nd. And it moot since he’ll be gone.
We need that 4th round pick.
BleedBlue46 : 4/26/2024 12:52 pm : link
Good teams hit on picks in the 4th or 5th. Schoen needs to hit big on several picks this year.
apparently he has some medical stuff
RAIN : 4/26/2024 2:24 pm : link
that may keep him sliding.
Not overkill at all.

I'm all for adding more OL. If Cooper Beebe drops to 70, I'd be all over that.
I think his best position is C by a decent margin so I'd say
Strahan91 : 4/26/2024 2:28 pm : link
yes it's overkill. Drafting a true G though wouldn't be, even if it's not my first choice
I'm fine with them overdoing it
Ned In Atlanta : 4/26/2024 3:31 pm : link
They should be prepared to bench Neal if he continues to be a turnstile and they need to have a contingency plan in place
Yes
lugnut : 4/26/2024 3:41 pm : link
We have 14 OL on roster, including 5 signed just in the last few months. We have 6 TEs, including 2 recently signed as clearly blocking TEs. Honest to God, I would let all that s*** shake out this year and avoid OL altogether.
Would Keon Coleman be overkill?
Milton : 4/26/2024 4:44 pm : link
...If he's available at 47. He's Waldman's WR6 (after Nabers, Odunze, Harrison, Worthy, and Thomas (in that order)) and would fill the role that several saw as a reason for selecting Odunze over Nabers.
