thats probably the only day 2 pick id feel pretty confident mocking. though i could also see him picking sainristil. if there was a prop on harbough drafting a michigan guy id bet it big.
of Maason Smith. Big time recruit out of high school, world of talent, tore his ACL in 2022, didn't play great last year coming back from ACL, but maybe gets a pass because of that? I don't know if the Giants brass want to take that chance or not.
While I would prefer him at 70 if possible, Brooks is a rd1 talent downgraded due to Axl injury. Acl surgeries have exponentially improved to the point of players returning the same or even stronger than they were before now after ACL tears.

Sy loves his upside. He's a dog and tenacious and competitive
interest in Brooks. Stop drafting injured players. He's less than a year removed from a torn ACL and we're going to use a second round pick on him? Idiotic.
not sold on a RB until the 4th/5h/6th, but Maason Smith... YES PLEASE! We need a DT bad. Think of what this team could be with another really good DT on this line.
Might be an asshat but I’m kind of amused by all the positive Brooks talk - “There’s a lot of tread still on the tires.” Yeah, much of it b/c he sat out injured! “Guys w/o a lot of tread are more prone to injury.” You mean, like tearing an ACL? (Admittedly, Trey Benson sounds like he tore up everything in his knee, and then some, 3.5 yrs ago.)

He's going to be a better NFL player than college player IMO. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he became a dominant NFL player.
