Schoen said the addition of Malik Nabers doesn't make Darius Slayton expendable in a trade. Schoen noted that they already paid Slayton a $2.4M roster bonus in March. He only has $2.7M in salary for this season. Schoen obviously views that as good value for Slayton's production.

A very nice problem to work out.
El Presidente of the DSFC.
Yes. Daboll made it clear why he wasn’t being used more last year.

I actually paused to not look too eager.
Agreed.
Per christian, you are way off. It's actually...
1. Slayton
2. Nabers
3. Hyatt
Very proud of all the work he put in to do stuff like this last year ...

The only trouble is the man under center. I still have no faith in Jones.
I wouldn’t trade him, he has to come in and play. Nabers killed his leverage. Nabers & Robinson make a good 1/2 with Hyatt and Slayton rotating at 3/4 is a very solid group.
Nabers allows us to get everyone in position to be successful.
He was awesome the second half of last year relative to the trash we had on the offensive side of the ball. Now he can play opposite a true #1. On that contract.
Anyone that wants to get rid of him for a mid round pick (at best)- shows your football intellect relative to skill / team building / and most likely important value relative to todays salary cap
So, even if Slayton is not a starter, this team has had no depth in the past at any position. Knowing that Slayton is the next guy off of the bench vs our #1 anymore is huge.
