I am expecting a swing at a QB... we haven't drafted a QB in forever. In three years with Schoen we take zero QBs... NE takes two this draft... you have to take some shots at the most important position at some point. It is so stupid and I am sick of this.
QB? What is the point of taking a QB that has no chance at playing? NE had three QBs and not one of them could play...this team has so many holes that position players might actually make the team. A QB to grab a QB is useless.
You are assuming DJ doesn't have a setback. Lock is garbage, Devito isn't an NFL QB, and in 3 years you can't take one chance on a QB? You can't get that?

Giants have nobody behind Okereke. Beavers didn't play in 2023, and last year was on the PS for all but the last two games, when he only played on ST. Adams and Johnson are camp bodies.

Is that why NE has been such a juggernaut post-Brady?
At least they are trying... We haven't tried one time since DJ was drafted. Not one QB. Not one try with an injure prone starting QB coming off an ACL.
Then again, I don't get a lot of what Joe Schoen does.
It's almost like trying to meet a quota on how many times to crap on the team. If the insinuation is that Schoen had a poor draft, thinking that makes you sound smart isn't really having the impact you might hope

Trying? Or wasting picks? More than one way to see that.
Was it 2020 when Judge drafted a bunch of LBers in the 6-7 round?

Wasting a pick... really? In the 6th round they are wasting a pick? All picks could be wasted at this point, but at least they are trying to upgrade the most important position and not just their STs
a miracle turnaround performance, Jones is gone after this year. The fact that the Giants literally tried to "give up the farm" to NE for Maye shows that they know he isn't the answer. Whether that is because of his overall lackluster performance or extensive injury history, or both, is irrelevant. The overwhelming likelihood is that this is his last season with the Giants.
If Lock has any success, he will be resigned to a two year deal and become a "bridge starter" while the Giants look for a franchise QB.
DeVito will stay as the #3 until he is a FA and then leave.
Milton's only real attribute right now is his ability to throw the ball into the next zip code. Pratt looks like a journeyman backup, a better version of Kyle Lauletta IMO. DeVito has a stronger arm than Pratt and has been in the system for a year. It's reasonable to conclude that for those reasons he's a better option than Pratt.
The only real risk Schoen took was not drafting JJM. If he becomes a franchise QB, then yes, that obviously is a big strike against Schoen and his staff since they had a chance to draft him without giving up any draft capital or players.
and the odd thing is this regime has been very good in the 6th and 7th rounds. But they still are not given the benefit of the doubt.
I am not so much mad at the player, but not one QB in 3 years of draft even though they have a QB who is injure prone coming off an ACL and his second neck injury? At some point we have to try and draft a QB. It is so frustrating to be a Giants fan and we are literally the only team that want even try drafting a QB.

For the life of me, I’ll never understand anyone knocking picks from five on down. Everyone says the draft is a crapshoot. It is, quite literally, the biggest of all crap shoots in the later rounds. These are lottery ticket players IMO.
The videos of past all pros, drafted in these later rounds throw fire on fan expectations. That and, every year, people get attached to their guys. That’s just human nature. The abundance of highlight videos with virtually no lowlight comparison doesn’t help either.

I am 100% with you on the QB thing. The Giants are in QB hell. But, is picking a QB, who will likely be available as a UDFA in the 5th or 6th round, really a smart investment over taking a flier on a player who could fill a need someplace else?

What if Muasau gets cut and Milton or Pratt turn into something. Don't get me wrong chances are Muasau has a better chance to make an impact than either of those guys, but the difference is if Milton or Pratt turn into something a little something that is a cheap backup for a position on average pays over 8 Million for a backup. While ST players like Coughlin and Carter are league min guys. Look I like this draft... I just wanted a swing because it feels like they are scared to take a QB and be wrong. You have to try at some point.

I am not going to doubt any of these day 3 picks. I thought the Giants made a mistake drafting Micah McFadden, DJ Davidson, and Jordon Riley but all three might be starters at some point next season.
With so many comp picks......feels closer to a 7th Rder
The Giants signed some good guards in free agency to pretty good money. Those guys are going to be way better than any players they could have found in rounds 4-7. They also have Ezeudu who was a 3rd round pick. Neal was a 1st round pick.
Have to let those guys show something before you overdraft more linemen.

this is confusing. There was higher rated talent left. Shouldnt we get special teamers and projects UDRFAs?
Also as whole draft some picks were size and speed, some instincts/ good person. JS and front office has not yet build a identity, what do we want?
No linemen picked, OT and 5 tech DL would have been better.
