Dan Duggan @DDuggan21
The Giants have nine spots open for undrafted free agents. They've been active the past two years. They signed nine UDFAs last year and 13 in 2022.
The Giants handed out the 12th most guaranteed money to UDFAs last year and the sixth most guaranteed money in 2022.
******
Please do NOT put your wish list here. That will confuse matters. Only post signings and/or tryouts (remember, tryout players often get conflated with actual signings... be careful with that).

Not really. Eagles didn't pick in the 7th round either,but had a total of 9 draft picks as opposed to our 6!

And we again have 6,after trading our 5th in 2025 in the Burns trade!
Correct that we gave up a 5th for Burns, but remember that we gained a 5th from the Seahawks in the Leo trade.
We currently have 1 pick in each round in 2025

You can call and tell players you want to sign them, you can't sign. Every team can, and does, contact potential UDFAs before the draft is over. Not having a 7th round pick means they can't draft one of the guys they would be considering as an UDFA if they didn't have that pick. There is no advantage.

You are correct about the Williams deal & having 7 picks. However we traded our 2025 6th to Buffalo in the Boogie Basham trade, but got back their 2025 7th. So no 6th next draft.
Signed with Kansas City

Add another pick. We are likely to have one compensation pick in 2025.

Over The Cap has a projection for 2025 Comp Picks, now that any NEW vet free agent are not part of the calculation. It currently lists the Giants getting a 7th rounder.
Note that at this point in time, he just calls it a draft, based on Free Agent signing $.
If you review his raw analysis, he indicates that the Ravens are entitled to 7 Comp Picks and the Cowboys are entitled to 5 Comp Picks. NFL rules don't allow any team to get more than 4, so adjustments will be required and Over The Cap will add that to their calculations down the road.
Being optimistic, that prediction of a Giants Comp Pick in the 7th, could become (at best) a 6th Comp Pick.

However if you look at what was awarded they stopped after first four in each scenario. The difference is because Ben Bredeson dropped below the threshold for comp pick eligibility. We need him to win starting job and have a great year so that pushes him back above the threshold. It would make our comp pick a 4 for McKinney and not a 7 for “net value”

Offensive tackle Chaz Neal, a Wesley Chapel grad who spent three years at FSU and then the last three at Florida Atlantic, will be a tryout player at Giants' rookie minicamp. Measured at 6-7, 322 pounds.
I attached his tracking page-and as far as I can tell, seems right up to date.
He also provides his sources for each player named.

Oregon pass rusher Mase Funa has a rookie minicamp invite with the New York #Giants, his agents
@thelasportsgrp
In 2023 as a fifth year senior Funa logged playing time in 12 games and logged a total of 246 snaps for the Ducks. He also added only 8 tackles, 5 assists, and 7 stops. As a pass rusher, he tallied 13 total pressures, which included 12 QB hurries, no QB hits, and one sack on the season.
These players may not have caught the eyes of those that predict the top players in the draft but they certainly caught the eyes of NFL teams.
Here is what happened:
WR Tejhaun Palmer- drafted by Arizona in the 6th (191 overall)
Pheldarius Payne-
Aaron Wilson
@AaronWilson_NFL
Virginia Tech
@HokiesFB
defensive tackle Pheldarius Payne (6-3, 285 pounds, 4.85 speed, four sacks, one forced fumble last season) signing with #Texans as an UDFA. Had 30 visit with #Giants per a league source
Chigozie Anusiem, CB Colorado St
Aaron Wilson
@AaronWilson_NFL
#Commanders undrafted deal for Colorado State corner Chig Anusiem (6-1, 200) is the largest yet among rookies with $300,000 of his base salary guaranteed and $50,000 signing bonus for $350,000 total guarantees, per source.
Anusiem’s 40-yard dash time was 4.39 seconds, according to The Athletic. That would’ve tied for the eight-best 40 time among cornerbacks at the NFL Combine.
He had a broad jump of 10 feet, 4 inches, a vertical jump of 37.5 inches, a three-cone drill of 7.06 seconds, a short shuttle time of 4.42 seconds, and he bench pressed 14 reps.
ive seen only 7 signings, close to 15 now tryouts.
we are at 2 open roster spots, likely 3 soon with waller retirement.

LB Andre White to rookie minicamp, per source.
White previously totaled 140 TKLs + 5.5 sacks at Texas A&M.
Gervin is related to former basketball great George “Iceman” Gervin.
His Senior Year in High School, he was voted by ESPN as the # 1 football player in the state of Michigan.
Played his first few years at Michigan State before finishing at Kansas.
His name became well known during Pro Days, when he went a ridiculous 11' 4" in the broad jump. Measured in at 5' 10 5/8 and was 192 pounds.

After arriving in Piscataway in the summer of 2022 from Division II Chowan, McAtamney played in all 25 games over the last two seasons. As the primary placekicker in his debut Division I season, McAtamney went 12-of-18 (66.7%) on field goals, with a long of 49 yards. He also handled kick-offs, doing so 46 times with an average of 60.3 yards per kick, racking up 17 touchbacks.
McAtamney lost the placekicker position to Jai Patel during the 2023 season, moving exclusively into a kick-off role. He collected 40 touchbacks on 60 kick-offs, with an average of 60.7 yards per kick.

Jake Bates, the K who hit the 64 yard FG twice in the UFL, was the back-up to Cam Little (drafted in the 6th Round this year) at Arkansas. Brandon Aubrey, who had a stellar rookie season for the Cowboys, was a soccer player at Notre Dame.
