Here's our schedule and my early prediction:
Away
Atlanta Falcons L
Carolina Panthers W
Cleveland Browns L
Dallas Cowboys L
Philadelphia Eagles L
Pittsburgh Steelers L
Seattle Seahawks L
Washington Commanders L
Home
Baltimore Ravens L
Cincinnati Bengals L
Dallas Cowboys L
Indianapolis Colts L
Minnesota Vikings L
New Orleans Saints L
Philadelphia Eagles L
Tampa Bay Buccaneers L
Washington Commanders W
Oh god that's worse than I thought. Maybe we could add the Saints, Vikings, and 2x vs Commies then we could have 5 wins instead of two. Either way, I think we will be anywhere from 1-15 to 7-9. That will give us a pick of somewhere between 1-12, I think this is a fair spread.
What do you predict?
This seems like a good estimate.
Well, one a positive note I don't see us picking behind any QB needy teams like NO, LAR, SEA, LV, NYJ, PIT, TB, DAL. Could be a good year for us in that regard.

But I’m comfortable with saying STs will be a strength.
DL right now is weakest unit on the team.
WRs could be special, but likely not this season.
W-L? Over/under 5 1/2, and I’m enough of an optimist to take the over.
DL strongest you mean, I think.
No, I look at Thibs and Burns as edge. DL has Dex, but then what?
our inability to get off the field on 3rd down catches up to us with a quick playoff exit, but we have hope for the future.
While that’s how I feel, it’s hard to argue we didn’t get premiere talent this year. Just the wrong position
This team has some very good players on it. They’ll win more than the 6 games they won last year against a very tough schedule with a revolving door at QB/OL/WR.
Please stop your whining and get off the thread if you don't want to read. Grow up.

Half of this place has become a doom and gloom crybaby crew over JJ Fuckin McCarthy…his ceiling is not high enough to warrant the 6th pick.

The sensible people know we will never go anywhere with Jones. This has nothing to do with McCarthy.

Yeah, this is just a prediction for next year thread. Sorry a lot of people think we won't be very good and it seems like that triggered you. I actually haven't complained about us not picking JJM once. It's a game and it's entertainment, no big deal.

In fact I was very happy we didn't trade for Maye and that was the alternative to Nabers. That move would have been way too costly and risky for a true boom or bust prospect whom I think will end up being mediocre or worse. I still know we aren't going anywhere with DJ. I believe that's a combination of his internal clock being broken, fear of turnovers messing with his mind in the pocket, taking too many sacks, hearing footsteps, and lacking a quick mind in his pre and postsnap efficiency.
I do like how we seem to be building up a much more respectable roster than we have had in a long time. I don't think that will translate to a winning season yet.
0-4 be AFC north
2-2 vs NFC South
Loss @ Seattle
Split remaining 2 vs Minn & Indy

Sounds like a fair prediction and .5 over the 6.5 o/u Vegas has.
This is one of the scenarios we deserve--just infinite more complaining and hand wringing lol.
I don't smoke weed. And I said 2-7 wins. All the teams we played improved too, not just us.
Here's what I'm thinking. We play the season out and then see where we're at. I also feel a bit better about our prospects this year knowing just how effing wrong literally this whole board got the draft.

People will count the games we almost won as wins, ignoring the games we almost lost, and say run it back with Jones because the line and weapons are still not good enough.
We just want to see what the "kid" can do with more pro bowlers.
I could see 7 only because I think Daboll is a great coach and Bowen's defense will be solid.
Agreed. I like Daboll.
+1
You do know that in their first 5 years with Young the Giants were 26-46-1 and in his 5th year they were a lusty 3-12-1 and had everybody saying here we go again!

"The board got the draft worng?" LOL. It's clear you don'tu nderstand anyone's point with that kind of comment.
The shine is off Jalen Hurts, Dak and the Cowboys are frauds, Washington is playing a scarecrow at QB again and Wink isn't here leaving overmatched CBs alone against CeeDee Lamb, AJ Brown, and every other stud WR we faced last year. I'm going optimistic until it's time to not be.

had far more competent Front Offices to work with and in Bill's case, him and GY told the Maras to butt out of the process entirely.

It took a while to undo two decades of Mara family fuckery.
Nabers will have some awesome plays, which will provide some excitement.
Picking somewhere 7-10 in the draft, they'll restructure Jones and take a QB in the later rounds to placate fans and to be a compromise between those in the front office wanting to stick with Jones and those wanting to move on.

I'm still hopeful, I'd rather be pleasantly surprised than disappointed.
I used to think you were being an asshole but now I just realize Joe Schoen is a platformed Dave Gettleman.
Giants are gonna win 8 games and draft 17th.

8 games would be a bit lower like 12-14ish. I think 5-8 is probably fair. When I listed the schedule I was just initially going with wins I felt confident with, that's why I said 2-7 wins, maybe 2-8.
Though I'm not saying this because of any major problem I had with their draft or off-season. I think they improved the team in several areas.
I just think even with all of that... the team flat out stinks and is a basement team in an increasingly difficult NFC.
If this team were run the way it should be then Jones would absolutely stay healthy because he’d be on the sideline watching Drew Lock actually throwing the ball downfield.
The thought of watching Jones drop back and instantly throw the ball out to the RB flaring out in the backfield constantly has me in a rut I’m having a very difficult time pulling myself out of. I have no desire to go through round 6 of this garbage
And no Barkley. I like Singeltary and the other pieces, but nobody is going to scheme to stop them. It’ll be the same defensive game plan we saw in the Philly game and in 2023. Take away Jones read option, and make him make decisions in the passing game.
But they won’t be.

My prediction is we won’t have to read Bleedblue46’s hyperbolic takes for much longer. 2 wins? Lay off the weed. This roster would beat the last two teams we fielded 80% of the time.

some will get worse. we just don't know which ones yet. hopefully the Eagles and Cowboys are 2 of them.

Yes, adding a Wr like Nabors is a huge upgrade in talent. But you now need to offset that with what I expect to be a less mobile Jones. If he is starting he needs to have no hesitation about running because it is the only above average part of his game.

This is a key point and one of the primary reasons I see us having the under of 6.5 for Wins
Schoen rewards Jones with a lengthy contract extension and Go Terps goes ballistic.
This defense still needs a DT that can rush the passer and 1-2 CBs to be a unit that can win games.
The offense is going to take one hell of a coaching job w these QBs.
I do feel that this team is better than it was last season. I just don’t know if that will translate into wins.

OL solidified, year 3 in Daboll's system for Jones with a true #1 WR, a Pro Bowl OLB added to help KT and Azeez outside and a DC who actually wants to win and not steal his HC's job. We'll stop the run and play more zone and two huge egos with big mouths are elsewhere in Barkley and McKinney. I was hoping for a QB but fuck it, I'm backing what we have and staying hopeful. Being miserable sucks, so I won't do it. If you can't be hopeful this time of year, you will literally never be happy.

You want to go one on with me and see who knows more about football and the Giants? You willing to stake your BBI reputation against me to see who knows more? I have nothing to hide and I always win you insignificant cunt. Bring it on you fucking noob shitstain.
No one would waste their time. You should write comedy. You could be famous instead of just posting on here.
The betting line is probably over-under 5-8 games. Seems like you are set to win a fortune by betting the over. Go for it.
