Would like to see better contact balance from Johnson. He seems to have all the athletic attributes, but he seems too often to go down on hits that he should be able to bounce off of.

Bingo! That was my biggest knock against him when watching him predraft. Spends a lot of time on the ground and frankly I didn't see his athletic testing numbers show up on tape. The anti-gronk. I do think there were a handful of better prospects available when we took him, but that raw athletic profile is absolutely worth taking there, so can't complain too much.
On the defensive side of the ball they really seemed to prioritize physicality and tone setting players. Nubins felt like a statement pick in terms of how the new DC wants his defense to act.
not having INTs was a knock against him some people brought up but there's a highlight of him getting a pick? Was it called back due to penalty?
Yes. It's from the 2023 game with Missouri and, from the play-by-play at ESPN, Kentucky was offside on the play.
It's a good effort to make the INT nevertheless. Other thing I noticed going through the play-by-plays was that Phillips had three pass interference calls against him in two games vs Missouri in 2022/2023.
I love the way he runs!
Either way, Nubin and Phillips look very physical and I like that in DBs.
Also haven't seen a WR completely undress CBs like Nabers does since OBJ.
Love Tracey's potential, could be the Giants' Cordarelle Patterson.
Would have loved one more pick and getting a DT, but all these guys look good. Of course, highlights and all that.
