WR John Jiles - the big receiver project

Eric from BBI : Admin : 4/30/2024 2:02 pm
Would have played at Marshall but had academic issues. Good size with long arms giving him good catch radius. As you can tell from the highlights, he was big fish in a small pond. Needs a ton of work, but there is some talent here.
John Jiles | WR | 2024 NFL Draft Prospect (Scout Video B - long) - ( New Window )
he uses his hands well,

goes up and gets the ball vs letting it into his body.
Not that it helps as a WR

But he put up 17 reps as a receiver with 34+" arms on the bench. That's not a combo you see often. Interesting prospect.

I just read that his arms are so long that he can touch his knees while standing straight up.

Upper body strength doesn't help getting rid of press coverage?

That's why Victor Cruz was such a miracle.

Maybe he can be our David Stills replacement as a downfield blocker on toss sweeps
Don't forget another big WR project...

Bryce Ford-Wheaton, who may have made the team last year if he hadn't been injured.

How else is Sterling Shepard making the squad?

If healthy I’m hoping he makes the team
He’s got talent size and speed
Can play special teams
Related to Ramses?

Does he use them AND his legs to run, because that's some gorilla-level shit.
