Final question from Schmelk: "Daniel this is great man real quick Giants at six do you think just best wide receiver playmaker available is that what you're thinking?"

Jeremiah "I'm yeah I'm going to go that direction I'm I'm hopeful for the Giants that they get a chance to get one of those three stud receivers and then uh we'll see where they go from there and if you want a quarterback you have to move up for one right? I think they're going to go one-two-three I'll be surprised if they don't"

Sometimes when we look back it was all right there the whole time.

another Jeremiah notable, baltimore led the way with 5 players from his top 100, giants were one of the teams right behind that with 4 including 3 from his top 52. those same 4 picks were also all in mcginn's top 100.

small class for nyg but seems like they got quality.

Predicting the QBs we’re going 1, 2, 3 to the top 3 teams

And that the Giants were going WR was pretty wide spread and always the most likely result. Rumors to the contrary were never more than that.
I been saying this the whole time.

Relax guys
Jint Fan in Buc Land : 5/1/2024 8:32 am : link
You're acting like they didn't try to trade up. Of course they're going to minimize chatter about wanting a qb after they didn't get one. All we're going to hear about is how that was never the plan when they would've taken Maye or Daniels.
It's not that hard
UberAlias : 5/1/2024 9:07 am : link
There was a consensus gap between the top 3 QBs and QBs 4-6. NYG made a strong ploy to get to three to get one, and when that didn't work out, the choice was always WR for them as their plan B.
Was there anyone suggesting that
Mike from Ohio : 5/1/2024 9:29 am : link
1-2-3 would not be QBs? That was almost a universal prediction. Jeremiah got it right, but so did 80% + of even casual fans.
i took his comments to mean there were a specific top 3 going 1-2-3
Eric on Li : 5/1/2024 9:59 am : link
over the last 2 months there was absolutely a lot of question as to what would happen at pick #3 between JJM and trade possibilities. some thought min would trade up and take JJM. there were a lot of people, including some with nfl backgrounds saying they didnt see it with maye and he could be this year's faller - the mock draft consensus was split 50/50 on him as the pick at #3.

in the end it appears the NFL (or at least MIN, NYG, NE) agreed with jeremiah that there was a clear specific top 3.
Not to belabor the point
Mike from Ohio : 5/1/2024 10:11 am : link
But Williams and Daniels were near certainties at #1 and #2. The only mystery was whether NE was going to pick a QB at #3, or trade it to NYG or MIN who would also use it to pick a QB.

There was some noise about whether or not some teams liked McCarthy more than Maye. That seems like the only question in the top 3 for the past month or so.

welcome to the point of the thread. it turned out that it wasnt really a question to the actual teams and it wasnt a question to jeremiah in february.

"Jeremiah called something back in February that most people suspected since February."

Riveting.

*most people except the half that didn't

how much did you clean up betting drake maye at #3 when his odds fell a few weeks ago?
Which makes it clear that the JJM hoax

Was all designed to get Kraft to fall in love with another Michigan quarterback. I give the Giants credit for trying to get Maye, but in the end, the Pats held firm and Kraft didn't fall for it. The Chargers then reached for Alt and the Giants get the player many said was the best player in the 2024 draft. Good job by Schoen staying true to the board.
