2) think that it's fooling anyone with half a brain, including Jones.
No problem with the implication that Neal was the one on the chopping block to be replaced (after two years under Bobby Johnson, which should absolutely qualify as "we've done everything possible to screw this kid up" but that doesn't apply to other players besides Jones), and no concern with the message to Nabers that he was just the fallback option behind another non-QB.
Anything to make sure Danny's feelings aren't hurt.
