His strong spring outing, pedigree of performance, and Chad Pennington like arm are just some of the reasons why he could be the # 1 pick next year. Already starting off strong with at the FSU spring game as seen below
but I have found it humorous that he's never mentioned among even the top 10. He was the #1 recruit out of high school, never really developed at Clemson (not a surprise, Trevor Lawrence never really did either), and then had a pretty good year at Oregon State last year. We'll see what happens this year in Norvell's offense, but there is an outside shot that he has an exceptional year. Hard to say for sure.

Exactly, the fact that he played in multiple systems with several bad coaches means that he will be one of the most NFL ready starters available next year. I mean think about it, he already persevered through the Daniel Jones experience
with excellent accuracy, I get the sarcasm here, but Pennington was hardly a shit QB.
Being serious for a second, I wonder how Brock Purdy's QB attributes compares to prime Pennington? Hard to compare stats across the different eras but Pennington was able to make the most of what he had due to his great timing and accuracy.
Not really anymore. He's been consistent in heading to greener pastures in each of his stops so far and in the age of unlimited and free transfers, how can you blame the kid?
Who said he has a Chad Pennington arm? Dude's got a cannon.
looked really interesting filling in for the injured Lawrence in 2020 and seemed like a nice heir apparent. But things went sideways quickly in Death Valley, and he looked overwhelmed filling those big shoes of TL. DJU was decent with Oregon St, but he's really struggled with accuracy.
I've said it a half dozen times. The kid to watch is Jalen Milroe. He runs like Josh Allen and has a Josh Allen like arm. He just needs to get better at being a QB. But the skills are there.
Maybe Kalen DeBoer can help Milroe like he helped Penix.
No, he doesn't...
You missed the sarcasm.
DJ will be leapfrog him this year. Trust me

really bad
No, he doesn't...
The guy who disappointed for two years as a starter at Clemson, and then last year at Oregon St.?
Obviously, you're a learned man of culture who is well versed in football

Round picks for kind of prospect.

Absolutely! It's not often you see a cannon like Pennington be draftable.
Just don't see it so far but someone is gonna come out of nowhere and be a prized pick, we will see.

Chad Pennington had multiple injuries and his lack of arm strength became a running joke in the NFL.
Everyone knows that you should only read the headline in bold letters.

He said Pennington like arm. Yes, Pennington was a good QB but his arm was straight up turds.
Tomorrow should be Penn State QB Drew Allar. He hasn't had a stand alone thread yet

It's sarcasm. Chad Pennington had the weakest arm in football
He'd be really good backup to a deep passing QB but a shitty starter

Yes, he had a weak arm, but Uiagalelei has a cannon, that's why I'm confused. He may be a shitty QB, but the guy has a Joe Milton like arm.

It's a joke of a thread. Lol

You know this topic is coming back during the college football season now that Taulia Tagovailoa is a tryout QB for the Seahawks
Well Joey Aguilar of Appalachian State was number 7 in total passing yards last season and he had 249 rushing yards as well

Even people w DJDS will hat this guy if the Giants pick him First rounder for your local flag football league Sure NFL. 😂😂

My thoughts exactly! Pennington ??? 😂😂😂
Hah, like you know anything about QBs and college football...
he was a little screwed when Clemson started a freshman Tate at LT (now a guard). but DJU is a statue. a real disappointment.
