Or maybe we finally get a certain retirement? Either way, the Giants are at 91 right now with the Nathan Rourke waiver claim. Since rookies and UDFAs haven't signed their deals and all of them won't for awhile there is no big rush, but there is 91 contracts out there.
OTC shows the 82 they have with the current roster plus the draft class: https://overthecap.com/salary-cap/new-york-giants
That doesn't include Nathan Rourke which isn't official just yet, it has simply been announced that they claimed him. So that makes 83 and then there have been 8 UDFAs announced:
* Jon Jiles, WR, West Florida
* Jake Kubas, OT, North Dakota State
* Marcellus Johnson, OT, Missouri
* Alex Johnson, DB, UCLA
* Ayir Asante, WR, Wyoming
* Casey Rogers, DT, Oregon
* Ovie Oghoufo, LB, LSU
I would imagine it just means one of the UDFAs never actually steps out there, but might still get to collect some guaranteed money.
• Ovie Oghoufo, LSU: $7,500 gtd
• Ayir Asante, Wyoming: $4,000 gtd
One of them might just get to collect that for doing nothing.
Pretty insignificant, just an observation I thought a few might find interesting.
eitehr waller retires or one of them is gone.
16 OL too.

Probably right about the LB I listed, but there's 13 WRs and two of them are UDFAs, I could see one of them.
The NFLPA public salary cap report shows 82 contracts which would include them, but I'm not sure.

The league wouldn't want teams to horde tryout players just to cut them once the draft picks sign.

is this inside info? why would schoen release him? make him show up to training camp. dont we save money if he retires?
I know they won't do it, but I can always hope, it's the only positive thing to hope for this season.
