I was surprised to see we have not fully addressed RB even though we drafted a lower-ranked back. I am curious to see who they may pick up during the rest of the off-season. Does anybody have any ideas and who is out there?
This staff doesn't believe in building around a single back. IMO, it's Singletary, who's probably your starter, then the three drafted RBs on the roster, and the other FAs are in the mix to determine pecking order/roles in camp.
There are seven RBs on the current roster. Singletary is #1. Gray and Tracy will fight it out for #2 and #3. There may or may not be room for #4 (Brightwell, Corbin, Jackson, and Miller fighting for one spot, maybe).

I have to think whoever has the best blitz pick-up will stick. Barkley was 'better' last year, it was still not very good, IMO. It was one of Tiki's bigger criticisms of Barkley.
He technically was a free agent even though he'll be a rookie because he found after last year's draft he wasn't eligible to play in 2023, so he had a rest year basically.
He ran a 4.27 at the South Carolina pro day.
im a little surprised they didnt add someone like rashaad penny

Giants need a short yardage back so I think Brightwell sticks, unless they find one in free agency or someone else steps up. When Brightwell was out, Barkley couldn’t convert on third or fourth and short.
A lot of Tracy’s highlights show runs inside the tackles.Maybe he
Miller is a darkhorse. Supposedly,a very good returner with excellent speed & with the new rules, might be a better fit than Brightwell who proved to just be adequate as a returner.

He ran a 4.3 and did 27 bench reps. Would love to see him at KR

if someone like dameon pierce becomes available in camp, trading a future day 3 pick for that type of player is something id look it.

Pierce looked pretty bad last year. Singletary basically took his job.

but you can also grab a RB in the summer that gets lost in the shuffle, especially if there's a new regime/system somewhere.

singletary didnt basically take it, he took it. now they have mixon.
pierce had some good moments but he seemingly wasnt a good fit for their new system and had some injuries.

If neither Gray or Tracy emerges as RB2, there will inevitably be good RB talent that hits the waiver wire on cut down day.
One example - Miles Sanders is likely a casualty in the Carolina backfield.
