Add this to the QB future plan/extend Dak, extending Lamb (big bucks ala JJ contract), overturned OL, new DC/system and now friction at the top?
Yes please! Dallas might implode in 2024, let’s hope we’re taking a step as it happens…might help us get back to a WC (ceiling for this year IMO)

Jack Stroud is a troll.
+1
What you talkin' about, Willis?
Jerry’s roster quality and W-L record will then take care of itself.
I agree. And I think Bill would rather be in any number of other locations than in Dallas, in a power struggle with Jerry Jones.
How dumb are you?
Honest question what have you seen to make you think a HC who wants more control would be a fit with a family that wants more control?
Seems like something that is an incredible long shot and even if it happened would end badly in 2-3 years
If he's waiting for a particular job....
Regardless, a 70 something running around with 20 something year olds doesn't look like someone dying to get back into coaching
This.
I'm in violent agreement.
I see them retaining Dak and getting a new coach after the ‘24 season
If they re-sign the big 3 it’s incumbent on McClay to continue to draft good talent around the big 3.

No need for violence here
McCarthy has a history of under performing with talented teams. His playoff record is 11-10. Yes, he's a fine regular season coach, but his teams are typically undisciplined and make critical mistakes, especially during the playoffs.
The only reason Jones hasn't fired him is likely McCarthy's contract, as Jones hates to pay coaches to sit. He's hung on to other HC's for the same reason. Unless McCarthy advances deep into the playoffs, I expect him to be dumped for the most attractive HC candidate in 2025.

As someone who thinks BB can still coach & will be roaming some sideline in '25, I'm not sure this is good news.

If BB wants to get back into coaching then Dallas is an ideal destination. He will have to give up some power, and I think he would be willing to do that for a couple of years in order to win a Super Bowl and pass Don Shula for most regular season wins. The man does have an ego.

Can't see that ego dealing with Jerry Jones.

Don't get this BB thing. Is 70ish and last few years certainly hasn't lighted up his resume.
Also, regarding this line, "Mike McCarthy's name may soon be added to the list of former Cowboys coaches who grew tired of working under Jerry Jones." -----how many former HCs other than Jimmy Johnson left Dallas because of any so called tensions with Jones? I don't even recall Parcells saying or acknowledging any issues with ownership in Dallas. Garrett was shit canned. Every other HC there sucked and was canned. McCarthy has been there a few years now and has lasted longer than any of these so called experts predicted. We don't need to own up to those laughably wrong takes I guess? Let's just double down.
McCarthy was going to be fired last season if Dallas didn't make the NFC title game. I was told that so many times I lost count. WRONG. Now he's unhappy.....and some former coach there is the source. No name. Just a title.
BULLShit until proven otherwise.
They may fire McCarthy if they don't win in January I could see that, but who really cares if the HC is angry right now. IF he wins big there he's going to get an extension in Dallas. It would be all smiles at the PC if they have a big postseason run. Perish the thought.
It's the slow season so I can see how this story has grown legs, but once training camp begins this will be forgotten.
That's why Dallas drafted three OL this year. If Martin retires next year his replacement is on the team(probably Cooper Beebe). Kneeland was drafted to replace Lawrence who is also on the last year of contract.
Dallas has done well in drafting future starters. That's why they haven't used free agency in a while.
Jerry’s roster quality and W-L record will then take care of itself.
Winner, winner, chicken dinner
The last time Dallas imploded was 2010.
Romo got injured, Phillips lost the team and was fired week 9.
It's been awhile.
Sad the once proud & mighty NY Giants have to hope other teams implode so they won't look so bad. I hate the Cowboys and the Eagles, but until the Giants get a real QB and beat both teams consistently, they're in a race for 3rd or 4th place in the East.
The Giants can’t stop Lamb
The Giants don’t pressure Dak
The Giants don’t cover their TE
The Giants don’t get open
The Giants don’t beat the Cowboys - sadly
Not a crushing blow. Just a different style of defense.
Dallas will probably have less turnovers and sacks, but they will be more disciplined, be better against the run, and be better on 3rd down getting off the field.
Quinn's defense was high risk, high reward. Zimmer's defense will be about doing your job and knowing your assignments. In a baseball analogy it's playing small ball to score runs instead of waiting for the three run homer.
Dallas lucked out in getting Zimmer. The defense will be good enough to win with.
