man if this is HS today god help these kids.
Zendala so so as an actress , thought she was way better in the Greatest Showman.
Sex, cell phones and drugs
any other takes?
to think this doesn't happen anywhere, but I also don't think it's this bad everywhere.
Sort of seems like the movie Kids made into a show.
It's sobering because like I said I do think some kids have this experience, but if you are even semi-involved as a parent you hopefully have some clues your child is at-risk like in the show.
as a parent of two teenagers at least that is my hope. And my kids are not perfect by any stretch.

Well said. As you touched on, this isn't everywhere. In fact, it's not even the norm. But I think the larger point is, kids falling into a circles and lifestyles like these is largely unpredictable, and it can happen, even if you're doing most things the right way as a parent. That's where it becomes very scary/sobering. This show is something that can become your teenager's reality.
It strikes me as an adult’s view of how things are for teens in a dangerous world. I don’t doubt that there are pockets of pretty bleak circumstances for kids though. I’m sure some of it is very close to reality for some kids. Just don’t buy that this is representative of that much of the generations experiences.
I usually watch the start of most new series if I get the chance but not sure I'll keep watching this. A lot of it just garbage that I myself found fast forwarding through.
The one person who did impress me was actor that played Fezco, the young drug dealer. He was very good in a very limited role.
if it was just weed, alcohol, and vaping I'd say it's real but the opioids, coke, heroin, etc. is not typical, it's extreme.
But, yes, scary, especially how it can be anyone, but again, it's the extreme. So you should be scared, but you should be involved in your child's lives. no guarantee they don't get into this stuff, but it's got to be better than the absentee parenting like in the show.
and social media/sex/bullying combination is a whole new animal that scares the shit out me as a parent. But we were just as oversexed and had the same appetite for drugs, alcohol, and poor decisions. Not bragging, a lot of people from those circles are dead, a lot more in jail, and some are still struggling to look anything resembling a functioning adult. I'm just saying that in my experience it wasn't out of the ordinary. I didn't find a single think about that show to be shocking, tbh. Worrisome for parents sure, but this shit isn't new.
we didn't have the internet, my generation was in the stone age. Â
getting a Playboy was gold, the internet and these kids have anything at their fingertips . They are overstimulated even pre teen and that is really bad. The way they casually mention oral sex as if it was just a kiss . Kids are watching this show, fans of Zendala. welcome to the boys locker room
Its the exagerrated. The first episode and the scene where they Â
"explained" niacin and water chugging had me rolling my eyes. Niacin makes your pee yellow and water dilutes it. It actually had me flashing back to high school when I got arrested and had to pass a proctored drug test to play football. Get clean pee from a friend, freeze, microwave before test, put in Vaseline bottle, tape to dick so it stays at body temp. Thanks Jerry!
The military has people straight looking at your dick to make sure you don't do this.

not even the scene where the girl meets up with Dominant Daddy in a seedy motel? Or cuts herself in the middle of a party?

Not sure if I'm going to stick with it.
