Can someone repost the fab view of the Tyree Helmet catch?

It was a unique angle view.
this angle?

You don't normally see this one

Sorry I meant fan view ...

The Giants have won, and lost, games
TLong : 7/6/2021 2:15 pm : link
in the most peculiar ways.
The hand-off to Csonka's hip against Philly comes to mind.
McConkey snaring the Bavaro drop in the end zone.
A pretty exciting bunch, aren't they?
If Harrison could have punched the ball

without worrying about punching the helmet...

Too bad, TB.

and remains

one of the most exciting plays i've ever seen. I knew we were going to win after that play.
This play happened so quick when I was watching...
bradshaw44 : 7/6/2021 3:00 pm : link
I was so keyed up for the drive, just standing and bouncing on my heels. When it happened I walked up to the TV leaned down, saw the space between the ball and ground and just said "that's a catch, lets keep moving lets go, keep moving." I didn't care about the insanity or gravitas of the play, I just wanted the momentum to keep moving and get in the end zone.

The Plaxico touchdown play was much more amplified to me. When they lined up, I screamed to everyone "They left Plaxico one on one!!!" and I ran up to the screen and was pointing at the defender and Plax. Moments later I was doing a handstand kicking my feet in the air in absolute insane celebration.

Its' funny, my brother who's a die hard washington fan said the same thing. Except he said it from a position of disappointment. ha

What's weird about that play to me is that no one even mentions
BestFeature : 7/6/2021 7:19 pm : link
Eli staying on his feet. I think that play from Eli is as impressive as the catch.

3rd & 11...people sleep on that play. For Smith-a rookie-to know where the marker was...high football IQ.
Not disagreeing with you, SFG, but it absolutely
CT Charlie : 7/6/2021 7:35 pm : link
appalls me that any NFL receiver would NOT know how far it is to move the chains. Most of these guys have been playing football for 8-10 years, are getting paid thousands of dollars PER SNAP, and yet many do not seem to understand they need to catch the ball somewhere beyond the marker. Insane.

To me, it's like commending a new high school English teacher on knowing basic punctuation.

Who was our TE who stepped out of bounds a yard short on 3rd down? If memory holds, next play...4th & 1...Eli hits Odell on a slant & Beckham takes it to the house. I think it was '16 vs. Ravens.

Was that Donnell?

I tend to block these memories. Life's too short...

Please anyone who has the link of the play from the fan perspective ... linking it here would be greatly appreciated.
One thing that always bothered me about this play…
Vin_Cuccs : 7/7/2021 11:03 am : link
…is Bob Papa’s call on the radio play by play.

The famous call is “…avoids the rush, gonna fight out of it, still fights out of it, now throws it deep downfield, wide open Tyree who makes the catch…”

Tyree is anything but wide open. Rodney Harrison was on his back, draped all over him.

I know it is petty, but it is all I can hear for some reason.

Am I alone with this?

Even so, Papa is still the best in the business. No knock on him whatsoever.

Vin, did you see the video from the fan that was recording in the stands? It shows pretty clearly what Papa probably saw. For a portion of time Tyree appeared to be wide open in the middle of the field.
After the catch...

It's not too much help, and I'm having trouble finding it in the Archives as well. Still, I think the below is a link to the video, but it's in Facebook - still it's something.

And here's the thread I pulled it from - I imagine the other post is from around the same time.

Thanks man!
In real time, when Eli escaped,
CT Charlie : 7/7/2021 8:15 pm : link
Tyree had drifted into an open space. Eli kinda hucked it up, jump-ball style, and by the time it came down, Harrison had closed the gap.
