To every DJ hater and media mouthpieces I hope you are seething right now trying to come up with another reason why DJ sucks. That’s my QB since he was a Blue Devil and glad as hell they drafted him and still glad he’s my Giants QB. Pay the man and everyone else can eat some salty crow!

Cha-ching
Jones is a LEADER and never blinked when the pressure was on. Played an almost perfect game and he had to with the margins so slim
It's been a slow burn all season. He threw 24 TDs his rookie year. He's a good QB, finally in a good system with excellent coaching. Danny is for real.

Great game for the offense. The D wasn’t great but they came through when it mattered. That was a BS roughing the passer call on Lawrence.
On to the Eagles
Robot? More like a Terminator
DJ is our franchise QB. Pay the man!
Well, if he would have picked up Jones 5th year option at that time several BBI'ers may have formed a posse and tracked down and hung Schoen. DJ still needed to prove himself.
Your opinion, which was arguably reasonable at the beginning of the season (or even more recently)— has been proven to be quite wrong.

Giants playoff win on the back of Jones is his worst case scenario. Will be fun watching him spin it this week.
DJ is our franchise QB. Pay the man!
I would disagree with that. The DJ we've seen this year is light years ahead of what we've seen in his first three years. There was no real way for Schoen/Daboll to know if that was possible until they got him in training camp.
It will probably cost them more now, but it was the right decision at the time.
bw in dc! What you think of our QB?!?!
Just saw this. On another thread I said Jones played the best game of his career. He lit it up.
Absolutely!!! And he is laughed at every single time by Orlovsky and That former Steeler, who I’m convinced, has an agenda against the Giants.

Haha, my comment was tongue-in-cheek. Even the most optimistic DJ fan didn't see this coming.
It’s amazing to watch.
Here’s one thing I just noticed after the game ended. We’re you worried about any Jones pass being intercepted today? I can’t think of one — but that’s a serious question. 0 INTs today but we’re there any that might have been picked off with a bad break? The ball security is high level.

I was never thinking about an INT. He has only 5 all year. I have had greater concern over the offensive line.
It’s like next level turnover avoidance.

However, I think there is a question about what you really want more. Giants’ wins or Jones failure.

The rest of these playoffs though; he needs to keep running!

A common shift in the native from DJ hates is that coaching has turned him in to better player.
Yeah... As if he just got talented in one year, learned to stay calm in pressure situations, be a leader, or play tough as nails!
I'd say coaching and surrounding him with better talent (Still could argue his OL, WRs and TEs are average and that DJ is actually elevating their performance) has yielded results more fitting of the talent he has always had.
DJ is our franchise QB. Pay the man!
That's how.
My dream would be for him to take a little less overall, but more guaranteed in order to try to keep Barkley, even if only for 1-2 years. I'd love to see both of them together next year with Gates at OC, one better interior OL, and a #1 WR. This team can be dangerous with the right moves this offseason. However, Kafka may have called his way to a HC gig.

The Giants cut Ryan Clark before he caught on with the Steelers. I remember interviews as a player where he talked about having a chip on his shoulder that yes, does appear to have followed him into the booth.

Dude, for all you have posted about DJ, salary cap not mattering, etc. You do have it coming in spades. I will give you props though, you are still here and taking it. Others who shall remain nameless do not have the stones you have!
#togetherblue!
I wonder when you'll tell us your previous BBI handle(s).
Or a disappearing act
It's actually neither. Pretty much every question I had about DJ has been answered, just like every one of those questions was valid at the time when I asked them.
Things change. Players improve. Coaches matter. DJ has taken an enormous step forward this season, and I'm excited to see what he can do with Daboll and Kafka guiding the scheme, and hopefully some real receiving threats for DJ to throw to.
I want to see DJ thrive here, and I want to see the offense flourish with a full complement of weapons. I came into this season uncertain that DJ was capable of thriving without everything around him being ideal. There were times through this season that it still felt that way. But Jones has done more than I thought he could, and by a fairly significant margin, too.
I underestimated DJ, and I'm happy to be wrong on this one. Let's not pretend that any of you dipshits had yesterday's game on your bingo cards, though. Even the biggest DJ fans on the planet would have been ahead of themselves to predict that kind of game in a playoff debut.
I'm sure this will really piss off all the BBI faithful who were expecting the "haters" to be upset after yesterday, but get this: I get to cheer for DJ and the Giants, too! I get the best of both worlds, and you can't stop me! Take your victory laps and shove them. The only victory I care about is the Giants'.

Actually, you were wrong. So we get to parade that over you for as long as we'd like, especially when you go around hurling "DJFC" at any user who dare made a positive point about DJ
Also, is Shea Tierney now a hot ascending position coach?

Let's not get confused here - DJ is the one who improved here, not the overall intelligence level of the fans who thought his first three seasons screamed greatness.
Also, is Shea Tierney now a hot ascending position coach?
He could be the next OC if Kafka leaves.

Who said anything about screaming greatness? That's not what people were claiming, not until the last couple games anyway. It's okay though bud, maybe just work on not being such a condescending prick who thinks they know everything :)
2. I am now sold on Daniel Jones.
What an amazing job of coaching this season too. They clearly brought him along slowly and then kept adding to his responsibilities as the season went on.
It wasn't that Jones couldn't improve - it was the certainty said that he couldn't. And in the process, things were made up to "strengthen the argument" like he was never good at any level!!
You're right, you could also get a new user name

I've never hid from my opinion being wrong. I've never snuck off from BBI out of embarrassment because I posted something that wound up being wrong. I've never fabricated material to try to gain an upper hand like some of the celebratory posters in this thread, including one just above yours.
I'll take my medicine on how vocal I have been about DJ. I just think it's funny that there are actually posters who think their fellow Giants fans aren't cheering just as enthusiastically for their team on game day regardless of our respective opinions on BBI.
I'm a Giants fan first long before BBI on my sports fan priorities. If anyone thinks that my now disproven opinion of DJ in any way sullies my fandom or my enjoyment of the Giants, they're crazy, and they couldn't be more wrong.
As for getting a new username, if I've kept on bringing this one back to the battlefield all these years and I've said a lot dumber shit than my opinion on DJ ever was, what makes you think that being pleasantly surprised by our QB is going to make be seek cover under an assumed name?

Who's the "we" kickoff?
Or you can just let us know who kickoff is if that is easier for you to respond to.
Uh, can you please capitalize the first word of a sentence please?
It's very disrespectful to wrote post to or about GD that contains a grammatical error.

P.S. I think there might be a subject/verb agreement issue in your last sentence, too. ;)

My favorite was how they said didn’t think he would ever make it because he “regressed” the two previous years. Well no fucking shit - everyone regressed under joe fucking judge and jason fucking Garrett! Well, those who had talent (which was few and far between).

To be fair, Fiddy was just continuing his sentence from the subject line into the body of his post. It makes for choppy grammar, but good usage given the standard BBI format, IMO.
The subject/predicate agreement is a separate issue, but that one can sometimes feel tricky when written, even for well-intended grammarians.
I love the GDFC, though - I'm gonna hang onto that one! It might not quite reach the level of JonC's "Reign of Schoen" but, at a micro-level, it's very enjoyable.
Some of you would have really needed to visit the school nurse if you'd been a member of BBI 25 years ago.
I was maybe 16 when I started reading BBI. I learned a lot of words and places to put things they didn't even know in my ghetto high school.
Now we get teary because someone had mean nickname for the quarterback who used to suck and now is good. Pour one out for the before times.
