Not only did vogelbach swing the bat, but he actually got a double and knocked in a run!

1-0 good guys
When do we drop

Lindor done the lineup...he is all or nothing with a lot of nothing lately. It's amazingthat he has 40 rbis but we really need him to heat up
Lindor is in a bad way. Hard to score runs when Lindor is crapping
CooperDash : 6/3/2023 6:01 pm : link
the bed in the two hole. Really wish he’d stop trying to crush HRs and just focusing on getting the bat on the ball.
Really playing with fire bringing Megill out for the 6th
CooperDash : 6/3/2023 6:04 pm : link
I don’t like it, but our BP sucks…sooooo….roll the dice?

I’m sure Eppler is hot on the phone looking to sign another 33 year old career minor leaguer with no MLB experience to bolster our pen.
Buck is so dumb
speedywheels : 6/3/2023 6:06 pm : link
Megill didn't really have his stuff today, had thrown 92 pitches in 5 innings - with FOUR walks - and he let's him start the 6th.

Now 2 on and 0 out....

LOL...
Overall, it wasn’t pretty, but Megill got the job done.
CooperDash : 6/3/2023 6:09 pm : link
I don’t know what’s up with the offense this season. They should be way better than they’ve been. What’s the difference…new hitting coach? Different philosophy? They just can’t get any type of consistency going.
Think Lindor needs a rest. Jesus.
CooperDash : 6/3/2023 6:13 pm : link
He’s a net negative right now.

It is maddening. They should be scoring 5+ runs a game...
You never know when a guy is going to start to lose it
Vanzetti : 6/3/2023 6:21 pm : link
Lindor looks like he is starting.

They have to give him more days off.
Megill's line today was as follows:
Optimus-NY : 6/3/2023 6:23 pm : link
103 pitches (58 strikes)
24 batters faced
6 groundouts, 2 flyouts
0 pitch timer violations

5.1 IP
5 H
1 R (1 ER)
0 HR
5 BB
5 K
4.40 ERA

I'm assuming Raley's done after throwing 13 pitches (8 for strikes) getting the last two outs of the 6th inning. He was also used a lot recently by Buck.
Lord, please get Gelbs out of the booth.
CooperDash : 6/3/2023 6:26 pm : link
He’s a tough listen. Not as bad as Gary Apple, but still tough.

"Dan Vogelbach" lol
Lindor - here’s an open plea to STOP TRYING TO CRUSH HRS

At this point he'll be on the interstate soon. His last hit was game one against the Phillies?

The 36 million dollar a year man....

we need

a new coaching staff.
one trick pony
Hilary : 6/4/2023 10:39 am : link
mets are a one trick if Alonso is not hitting they lose. Should have kept Sanchez, he has hit in the past.Nido will never hit and
Vogelbach is a wasted roster spot.
pronouncing them dead right now, a few days after sweeping last year's

nl cinderella ws team, seems overly pessimistic. they have been above .500 almost the entire cohen ownership and have been most of this year too. in 2021/2022 they were in first place the entire first halves. maybe it's not the worst thing that they've played their worst to start the season and they are still 1 game over .500 and just 1 back in WC?

no matter how good baty, alvarez, vientos look in flashes, it was always enormously likely they'd go through adjustment periods. that's just how baseball is for rookies. lindor is one of the best players in the game for almost a decade now and we all see him run hot/cold. they needed to invest the first half of this season in getting those guys comfortable enough to be consistent, ideally at least 2/3, and right now if anything they are on track for that and maybe even a little ahead.

with the diaz injury and a bunch of vets having down seasons it may be that this ends up a transition year but there is a lot of baseball left and they are literally 1 winning streak away from where the braves are right now. they've been close to putting those streaks together over the last few weeks but the big hit has eluded them vs toronto, colorado, and chicago.
also i know nobody used the exact phrase 'dead'
Eric on Li : 6/4/2023 11:31 am : link
but suggesting firing the coaching staff, crushing lindor (who is playing every game and even while slumping still 6th most valuable ss on track for a near 5 win season), etc just goes over board. the blue jays are a good team and they've made a bunch of big plays to win 2 games with great pitching.

lindor's 389 foot flyout yesterday with nimmo on base had a 65% chance of being a go ahead rbi xbh. instead vlad jr did what he did. sometimes the other team's good players just play good.
