Also, is anyone else actually nervous for OUR game? I don’t recall being this anxious about a Giants owner THIS far in advance for a very, very long time.

I’m always nervous about the Giants owners. It never ends.
I keep thinking about how in 2011 we lost an early home game to Seattle when no one really expected just as Seattle was on the verge of becoming a mainstay in the NFC but weren’t quite there yet.
Our loss last year to Detroit has that same kind of feeling for me.
is impressive. KC D line looked gassed after that long pounding drive after a big enough hole opened up on fourth and 2. If Goff gets time, he is dangerous, and so far his white uniform has no grass stains.
Why is their music playing so loud while they are talking. I feel like I’m watching a rockin news years eve, NFL themed. Wow, they even have Ryan Seacrest, oh. Wait, is that Chris Simms?

Simplicity is everything with sports broadcasts. These networks have forgotten that.
with an expert impression of EE!!!!!!!! DJ once suffered though a couple of seasons of catches like KT just made......gotta think JS had slight grin with that one!
Using the Lane Johnson tactic. Wonder if NFL officiating is turning a blind eye to this on purpose.
It’s been obvious there is a HUGE gap in between NFL Edge rusher talent and NFL OT talent. Allowing OT’s this advantage gives the NFL what they want - more offense. Fewer plays being completely wrecked by dominant pass rushers whooping OT’s off the ball.
Needs to learn that you have to actually put in the work during the week to be successful. You can’t just show up and expect to be great. ( I think Kyler Murray has the same issue)
I have been really unimpressed with Detroit offense
Especially their much hyped (and believed by me) offensive line. They have not imposed their will. Also think Campbell makes no sense. Goes for a fake punt
on his own 15 but won’t go for it on 4th and 3 at their 40. Plus the clock
Management and play calls at end of first half left a lot to be desired

Kind of like traveling in the NBA…unspoken rule amongst refs not to call it
fans can justify the trade because Toney helped them win a SB with his PR. The problem is not recognizing that for every such play there will be a litany of bad plays.

In fairness, this is a weird off game for Toney. His issue is getting on the field, not doing stuff on the field. But I'll glady take that PR to put the knife in the eagles followed by him looking like a fool tonight.
better than it did. Literally the only thing he will have ever accomplished is helping prevent the Eagles from winning a Super Bowl, and the Giants turned his worthless ass into Waller and Hawkins.

schedule. The only gimme out of their first 8 games is Bears, Broncos, and Oakland. Kelce being out and Toney being in was probably the difference tonight though.
But he looks a lot closer to Daniel jones when he’s playing with half of the skill players that Jones was playing with last year. Haha
Uhhh no. Mahomes is the greatest QB talent of all time. He looks great out there with crap WRs.
Great?!?! Ok
Mahomes looks like every other QB with crap around him, not better no worse. Looks like Daniel Jones to me.
People don’t want to believe that supporting cast matters. Doesn’t mean mahomes sucked but if jones finished this game with that stat line. He is labeled a loser.

No, Mahomes has two super bowls and video game stats. This is called a bad game. DJ never accomplished any of that. Even still, after week 1 if DJ had a game like that I wouldn't label him a loser...I'd call it a bad game you homer.

Exactly my point, just better said. Supporting cast matters.
KC is a major candidate for regression - even with Kelce and Jones. Chargers are going to win that division. KC will be fighting for a wild card.
No notable weapons outside of Kelce. Pacheco not impressive. Sky Moore and Toney (HAHA) are bad. OT's are poor. Defense is okay, but not world beaters. You take out Kelce and Jones, and this is one of the worst rosters in the league around Mahomes.
Detroit - looks like a good team, but I think this is a game they should've won - they are better. It took an absolute collapse from Toney to pull it off. But Detroit will win alot of games with that Oline/running game and pesky defense.
RE: RE: Giants and Lions could very well be competing for a wild card
What do you mean? What's not to understand? Giants are going to be in a tight playoff race most likely, the Lions will too. I prefer the NFC team to lose.
Team showed promise, looked good on D. They need one more legit weapon that can threaten teams outside and deep. Evans checks all the boxes. They can cook with him, the OL/run game, ARSB Laporta Gibbs eating short/intermediate and an improved D. If they don’t move on that and put all their eggs in Jameson they’re idiots.
Lions gotta trade for Mike Evans, Team showed promise, looked good on D. They need one more legit weapon that can threaten teams outside and deep. Evans checks all the boxes. They have one of the best, if not the best, possession WRs on their team already in St. Brown. They have Jameson Williams coming back in 4 games. Why would they want an old WR?
That young wr has fallen on his face every step of the way and they need SOMETHING to compliment that awesome possession/slot wr. Almost everything they have around that stud player is redundant and that “old” WR still has mileage before his expiration. He perfectly compliments what they have on the roster.
The Stafford trade for all those picks which they’ve seemed to hit on, plus the fact that Goff had figured it out is a massive bonus for them.
Campbell is an excellent coach. Their last 2 games are victories at Lambeau against the Packers in what was basically a playoff game for GB and at Arrowhead against the defending champs in a format that has been extremely difficult for the road team to win. I think this makes only twice, maybe 3 times the road team has won on the road for opening TNF at the defending champs.
I don’t know how bent out of shape I’m getting over a Lions win last night simply because I think they’re winning the NFC North.

He’s got the Ross Geller vibe going there. If the power goes out in the stadium he’ll be the one to follow to the exit.
In a lesser span of time we lost Boss, Ballard, Smith, Nicks, Cruz and Wilson all to career ending injuries.
They most def have the saturation way too high.
It’s like the Kenny Rogers chicken Seinfeld episode.

Not as bad as FOX playing with the sound/volume of the crowd noise - up and down - up and down...
That was bold
That was crazy - but it worked.
Yay football!
I like the Chiefs when they play the Eagles. Otherwise they can suck a dick.
100%. KC is on their heels
Our loss last year to Detroit has that same kind of feeling for me.
Jesus dude, slow down.
Jesus dude, slow down.
X infinity. It was like he spent the entire offseason with laryngitis.
Probably doesn't know the playbook because he couldn't bother being around in training camp and preseason. (Yes he was injured...again)
He’s so much faster than Montgomery
... c'mon man!
It's like they're trying to annoy us with superficial nonsense

That’s how I’ve felt about him for the last couple of decades.
Toney is like fifth or sixth on the depth chart. Lol
He’s been moving early on every single play. It’s incredible
Reid is a tremendous coach. But knowing you have a savant pulling the trigger is an incredible luxury.
She played volleyball at Georgia.
Agreed, they need to get him more involved. Montgomery is a decent back, but Gibbs is a way more talented player.
Simplicity is everything with sports broadcasts. These networks have forgotten that.
Does PGH stand for Pittsburgh? In your name
Looked at your profile awesome
I live in the Pittsburgh area and I’m from Morris County NJ
This whole bring Gibbs along slowly thing doesn’t make sense. You drafted him 12th
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
What a great line
with those hands!!!!
LOL - so did I
Just crying emojis
And maybe the last snap too
I'm fine with that though.

Classic Lions. Taking Gibbs 12th overall to sit him on the bench the entire half.

Fine but another rookie is having a great game on D and just scored a TD on an interception. Classic Lions?

While I agree, but since they are not doing it, it makes me believe that Gibbs is a bad pass blocker

That one will probably knock him out another 6-8 weeks. That’s a shame

Eat shit, Kadarius lol
A little early in the year for me to care much. Wake me up when the playoff scenario threads start.
Cheap shit.
I don't understand that either, especially when it became 4th and 25, and with the Chiefs having all three TOs and the two minute warning.
AND Hawkins :)

Got 23 unread texts from my girlfriend. Wonder what all the fuss is about?
Big road win for Detroit.
Yep!!!! Karma is a bitch
My dad was prob 100 pounds lighter the last time the Lions won a playoff game
9 point swing. You got joka'd KC
Yes I see the irony in that statement
Detroit is gonna win that division. More likely we are competing with the Vikes, GB, Seattle and Dallas.
So net yards=0
Lol what?!

There are others...The bears beat the 9ers, etc.

Exactly. If Andy decides he needs to get Mahomes a better WR, he will get one.
Detroit will probably win the NFCN - it is a pretty good FB team, probably on par with the Giants or above. It was an upset, but not a huge one.
