Remain Calm....All is well!!!

AROCK1000 : 9/22/2023 3:56 pm
Folks
We lost to a Super Bowl caliber team,on a short week,on the road, with a bunch of key guys out.
I can't wait to see them again when we are healthy
It will be a much better game.
We actually hung tuff last night
Even my Bay Area Niner fan friends said so
I would agree

if they were competitive. They weren't. That was a good old fashioned ass kicking. Don't let the final score fool you. It was just as bad as the 40-0 season opener. Even with the score 17-12 they were never a real threat.
wow...

you need to root for teams that was just in the last superbowl every year.....or change to the cowboys because you sound like those jerks.
There are reasons for concern

There are also reasons for optimism. A win against Seattle is critical IMO. Defense needs to play at a higher level. OL needs to play to at least an average level. A lot riding on DJ having a good game against Seattle, they need him to step up this next game and have a big performance.

I’m with you

although the defense is a huge concern.

Yes, the Seattle game is the "panic" game if things go poorly. Until then, no reason to panic at all.
IMO The season starts next Monday

We all knew they would be 1-2 here, at most 2-1 if Dallas had regressed.

Also now after playing the top competition we know clearly what our issues are, and the coaches will be trying to fix them. Its not like we had an easy schedule that glossed over our deficiencies.

Lets get all 4 starters healthy and crank this thing up

Hopefully Eric's daughter won't need to use her photoshopping skills again at the end of the season.

about the defense, that might have been the least experienced offensive line ever to play in an NFL game. They had a total of 32 regular season starts before last night, and Neal had 15 of them and Lemieux 11 (9 in 2020 before missing most of two years). Ezeudu had 3, Schmitz 2, and McKethan 1. Not one starter had even played in a full season's worth of games - total. Think about that for a moment. And against one of the best defenses in the NFL. As I said on another thread, I'm amazed Jones is walking today.

Can anyone think of an offensive line that ever had that little experience? Even the Jags line in their first-ever game, with two rookies starting, had more combined starts than that.
My inner fan friends agree in that it was a game until the 4th

They thought our secondary played well in the 2nd half.
In the 1st half

Outshined 440-150
Is NOT competitive.
It was just as bad a beat down as the opener. Parcels used to say “you are what your record says you are” . The stats say we are a bottom feeder team, with a huge talent gap, and a number of important players not progressing and even regressing.
All SERIOUS concerns, until proven otherwise.
Monday night Oct. 12...

this game is compounded by it being their second home appearance after loyal fans sat through a deluge not only with the 40-0 massacre, but add in that pounding miserable rain. It's also once again on national tv being a Monday night with this team and organization again on full display, so....not a good time for poor tackling, blocking, scheming, ball security etc. in other words, please no calls for FUBAR from the sidelines.
Monday wil tell you all you need to know
nygiants16 : 9/22/2023 6:22 pm : link
Home game, primetime, hopefully Thomas, Bredeson and Saquom are back..

Giants have done some good things past 2 games but also some bad things..

One thing you can say about the defense, they were a lot more agressive against the niners than they were against the Boys and Cardinals..

JFC. Such a ridiculous, false take. They we’re competitive until the the the holes started to inevitability show due to injuries.

Just as bad as the 40-0 game. 🤣🤣🤣 Dumb.
Its entirely possible

To be 1-2 and not give up 98 points right? I guess we’ll never know.

Well, Paul Schwartz of the Post thought the same as me.

Just because the Giants were in striking distance for three quarters does not mean they battled on anything close to even terms. They were blown away in total yards (441-150), rushing yards (141-29), passing yards (300-121) and first downs (26-10). If anything, this game — and the 40-0 trouncing by the Cowboys in the season opener — showed how far the Giants are from the NFL elite.

So, either you weren't watching the game or, maybe, you're the one that's dumb.
