I've seen neck injuries up and close in Arena Football, when players heads hit the dasher boards. I worked in a hospital and saw severe injuries. I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy that sort of thing.

Wouldn’t shock me. Given Giants play heavy defensive fronts next 4-5 games even if it’s just a strain or minor issue, it’s likely going to be weeks out. Also taking away the run threat to prevent more injury it is a death sentence for this offense.
