Are both 8-3 and win basically every year. Both of them won playoff games last year, yet almost everybody on here denigrated those guys as complete idiots
Lol, what? I think McCarthy is a putz and he still hasn’t won anything. Weird timing to call people out when getting to the playoffs should be a shoe in with that roster. Pretty useless thread.

He has won the Super Bowl and has them competitive basically every year. What I would do to be competitive every year.

Coaches get far too much credit and far too much blame.
The cowboys with that roster will be bc competitive with me coaching them. Coaching isn’t hard when you get top end QB play.

So where was your thread after his Super Bowl win? You realize you haven’t actually made a point, right? You think McCarthy is a good coach, I don’t. Only difference is you made a thread to give your opinion and I didn’t.
True but we re BBI and we do it to our own players too.
It’s a point that is lost on far too many here. What’s the point? That retread HCs aren’t always bad hirings. Some are great. BBI can feel feel free to ignore this and insist that both guys suck.

I don’t even think I was on this site when that happened. But I should have spelled it out more. It was more just a frustration thread watching the Jags win after our game and seeing how you can win in this league consistently and it seems like our favorite whipping boys do it quite often.
It is also similar to how people reacted to Wink and Daboll’s interaction in Dallas. It looked odd, but when I and others called it out, people dismissed sarcastically as yes coaches talking to coaches is weird. Then today when Glazer reports the relationship is disintegrating many people here even rejects that as if they know better than Glazer.
It just wish I could be so sure of myself as some on here without really much evidence to back up their opinions. The bottom line is Pederson and McCarthy have been relatively successful at each location and people announce with such certitude that it gets annoying. But yes, it was probably an ill advised thread and more out of frustration with how bad we are

Sure helps when your GM doesn't pass on a guy like parsons On. And Zack Martin

Now c'mon already.
He's got a loaded roster of talent......
McCarthy and his QB are exactly in the same spot. They need a signature win with the Dallas.
If the don't get it this year, one might be fired (McCarthy) and the other will continue to have the albatross of not winning the big one.
Foles was a good backup on a great roster, that kind of matters.
So, maybe. But highly doubtful.
Pederson is one of the great QB-minded coaches of this generation. He helped rebuild Alex Smith, got an MVP caliber season out of Carson Wentz, and won the Super Bowl with a journeyman backup. And with a high talent guy like Lawrence is producing another MVP caliber player.
I think if there's any coach that could maximize the talent of Jones or Taylor, Pederson is the exact guy.
with Jones, Taylor and DeVito? Didn’t Daboll get the most out of Jones in 2022? You’ve been pretty adamant about moving on from Jones, so this is a bit puzzling.
You asked what either of them would do with the current quarterback group, and my view is Pederson has a track record of maximizing output from quarterbacks across the talent spectrum.
Pederson is far more accomplished than Daboll. If the Giants had Pederson at head coach, I could see Jones producing at a higher level.
Pederson is maybe the only guy in the league who could make Jones a top third starter.
He said "Moore tries to light up the scoreboard and lead the league in scoring". Not the exact phrase, but it's the gist.
Last night this reared it's head again. Down by one score Moore's offense went three and out on three passes. It was a 25 second possession. This has happened multiple times this year with LA. Poor situational play calling.
The ironic part is that Dallas is currently the #1 scoring offense averaging 31.5 points a game.
both are very good HC's. They value high quality OL play.
I don't think Dak is a championship QB though and at this point of the season Dallas does not have a good enough of a running game to help him overcome his limitations.
Pederson is still early in his tenure and he needs a bit more time to get his OL up to a championship level. Jax has the benefit of the QB on a rookie contract.
Be interesting if McCarthy gets another season if Dallas falls short again.

Peterson I don’t ever remember getting shat on other than him being an Eagle. I think many here were optimistic that he’d do well in Jacksonville.
What are either of them doing with Jones, Taylor and DeVito?
