Texans were absolutely buzzing last week and go into Saturday's game as a 9.5 (!) point underdog.
The Ravens have been great all year but when you start to put it together: long layoff + Lamar J's career playoff record of 1-3 and Texans peaking right now game should be a lot closer than the line indicates IMO.
The successful playoff strategy vs LJ has always been to sit back, contain him and let him beat you with his arm.
I like Stroud as a passer more. I think Texans have a real shot to pull the upset.
My prediction:
9'ers/Ravens SB

Same. the only reason I'm not picking the Bills to beat the Ravens is the Head Coach in Buffalo. He's got a team to win it all this year, but he's a dumba$$ going up against a superb HC in Harbaugh.
His release is quick and the moment does not seem to big for him. An upset would not shock me.
Weather is going to be cold though so probably favors defense to some degree. And Ravens have a very good one.
Looking forward to seeing if Lamar Jackson can take the next step with his career.
I think this game is asking a lot of Houston, who's already had a great year and must be feeling fantastic about the future.
He has consistently upped his game vs great defenses going back to his performance vs Georgia last year in the Peach Bowl.
His only "bad" game this year was outdoors vs NYJ but he was missing Nico Collins and Schultz in that one. Excited to see what he can do vs Baltimore.
He sits back there and really slings it like Brady used to with Moss LOL
Detroit should win comfortably over TB
But they are going into dark waters dealing with Baltimore in Baltimore.
Unless LJax completely spits the bit, I expect Baltimore to destroy the Texans.
And I don’t see a SF Baltimore Super Bowl. At least one will get upset these next two weeks. I would bet Baltimore being the team that loses before February 11th.
I bet Baltimore wins and covers.
Jones would pay $1 billion or more to the refs to try to make sure the Texans didn't get any calls if they made it to a Superbowl.
They share a division with Trevor Lawrence. Let's see how things go.
I agree. In a parity league the talent levels between teams has mostly vanished. The Giants didn't beat Philly they crushed them. It's mostly about QB play and Jackson is not Otto Graham .
Get up early or at least keep it close and make it a 4th QTR game.
I agree that the Ravens look like a very complete game so I can see them winning very comfortably if they get out to a early lead.
Their run game is something to behold.
I agree they look good. Pretty complete team. I just don't see anyone beating them. It's so weird to think that Pitt beat them twice though... lol. I know last game of the season, but still, and it was even the same score as the 1st loss... lol

I might be eating my words in a few days, but I think the Ravens are the most complete, 'best' team in a decade. I really think they are a cut above. Jackson could have a bad game or something, but I think they win by 10+.

I think the Ravens dropped 6 or 7 passes in that game, including a couple TDs.

Oh yeah, their losses were all sort of weird too (outside of that last one). Any given Sunday, etc. I've really enjoyed watching them this season.
In fact, I expect it to be a damn good game.
