1. Bears - Williams
2. Commanders - Daniels
3. Giants - Maye (Projected trade) - In this three-spot move up the board, the Giants probably have to pay more than the standard trade chart would indicate, since the supply side of the quarterback position is dwindling but the demand remains high. Brian Daboll fostered Josh Allen's raw talents in Buffalo and could have a chance to do the same with this toolsy but inconsistent North Carolina product.
4. Vikings - McCarthy (Projected trade) - In the wake of the Giants vaulting into the No. 3 spot for a quarterback, the Vikings are still able to move up for a signal-caller of their own by giving the Cardinals Pick Nos. 11 and 23. McCarthy should pair nicely with Kevin O'Connell in Minnesota.
5. Chargers - Harrison Jr.
6. Patriots - Nabers

Why would the Pats trade down (with us) and then select a WR when they need a QB as much as we do, if not more?
Why would the Pats trade down (with us) and then select a WR when they need a QB as much as we do, if not more?
They may not like the leftover QBs. They may not feel they are ready to reset the QB clock with a QB they feel is a leftover. They have a lot of work to do, as do we. They may like Penix or Nix later on.

It's not listed what the Giants give up, but without a doubt it's substantial, and I'm guessing it includes a 2025 1st and 2025 2nd or 3rd. Enough draft capital next year for the Patriots to be at the top of next next years draft, assuming the Giants are finishing high and neither are the Patriots.
I thought you'd be happy :)

They would want pick 47 instead of 2025 2nd imo. Pick 6, 47 2025 1st and 3rd I bet. You better be right if your bargaining that much.

I hear ya and it makes sense… but it sorta begs the question: Aren’t the Giants unready to reset the QB clock as well since they have a lot of work to do, so why trade up for a QB? Which will cost a ton of draft capital that a weak roster team like the Giants could really use?

You're* I'd much prefer to trade up with AZ. At least this king's ransom would show conviction in the guy though.

I'm wouldn't be in favor of the trade because I don't love Maye, but is the roster that bad? I think a lot depends on if the offensive line can perform better, otherwise, all teams(or at least most teams) have weak spots.
Christ, 4 more weeks of this. Absolutely brutal thus year.

Well number one, we are down the road a bit on rebuilding. New England is just starting now.
Number two, the whole point of adding Daboll was to get him a QB to mold. It's why we hired him. Now is the time. Mayo? He's more defensive. He's not going to transform a lump of clay.

So we end up trading up giving up precious draft capital for a leftover? Honestly if there is that much difference of opinion on a guy like Maye then IMO he is not a sure thing and if you are going to give up a lot to make this move you better be damn sure.

He may be QB 1 or QB 2 on their draft board. Just because you take a QB at 3 or 4 doesn't automatically make him a "leftover".

It has gotten to the point that posters are making arguments that do not make sense but do so because they are so desperate for the Giants to pick a QB even if it may not be the right choice. Add on the fact that they have teams trading down when they need a QB even more. The best line in this thread is when someone claims the Pats won't pick a QB even though they need one desperately because they are further behind the Giants in the rebuild process. You can't make that up. Now would be the perfect time, new coach, new system and no pressure. Then when the team starts adding assets in the next couple of years the QB will have gotten the experience and be ready for the next level of performance.

How are you defining a leftover QB unless we know how the Giants rate the QBs?

Yeah I wouldn't love trading a haul for 3, 2025 2nd and 3rd to AZ I could see, but the haul to 3 seems rough.
6, 70 and a 2025 first round pick is fairly acceptable.
I want to keep the 2nd round pick, hopfully for a WR.

because they are much, much smarter than us in this scenario.

Agreed. If you need a QB and can take one without moving up, you do so, and ignore all trade down offers.
Expensive yes. Hard to say what it would take to outbid the Vikings in all probability the team you would have to beat. But as mentioned before by others, the fall from 3 to 6 opens more possibilities to choice than at #11.
We've seen Daboll have some success with the likes of Jones/Taylor/DeVito. I'd feel; better putting a highly drafted rookie QB in his hands than Mayo. No offense to Mayo, however he's a first time HC who never was even a coordinator.
It's not prohibitively expensive if the guy becomes a superstar.
To those asking why the Pats wouldn't just draft the QB. Maybe they don't like any of the QBs available? Every team is going to have the players ranked differently. The Pats could have Drake Maye with a similar rating to a 2nd round QB and the Giants could have him as their #1 QB. None of us have any idea, but the Pats have stated they are open to trading down.
If you get a franchise QB nobody will give a shit about the cost.

I guess if they didn’t like any of the QB’s left, but almost all of these mocks are just throwing darts at the wall. They have no inside information and create different scenarios so they can say, “see, I got that one right! (Pay no attention to the 15 I got wrong”).
