- The Wink debacle + hiring his replacement
- Saquon leaving for Philly

- FA signings (particularly Lock)
- the Waller situation
- the draft process, from the trade up attempts to landing on a top 3 talent in Nabers
This is offseason footage. You'll get a look at Saquon leaving, the Burns trade, the lead up to the draft.
The Giants have produced Giants Life videos which many here like, this will be that but more.
People on here just love to hear themselves complain. This seems to be pretty cool as we should get an inside look into free agency and the NFL Draft for the first time ever.
If you don't like it you don't like it. No need to cry and act like bitches because of it. Unfortunately a lot of people here are straight bitches 🤷🏼♂️
how they paint DJ and our attempts to move up in the draft.
Doing this is better then training camp or in season. If there is gonna be 3 or 4 teams doing things like this every year you cant dodge it for too long.
I am absolutely shocked. Like jaw on the floor. Who the fuck took over Johnny Mara's body? We want out crusty, old, curmudgeon back to keep telling youngbloods to back off and get off our lawn. I've never watched an episode of the show before, but I'm going to now. The ghost of Steve Sabol must have something on Johnny...

This is the offseason from January to July, so my guess: this explains why there has been essentially ZERO from the Giants behind the scenes of Combine, draft, etc.

The question I have: how far back into January are we going? Wink storming out of Daboll's office? Yeah, I'm guessing no.
I think Amazon Prime has Max as an add-on for a pretty reasonable monthly price (something like $14/mo). At least they did a couple years ago when I got it to binge GOT.

Curious how much that will include coaching staff turnover, ect.
and that tips the scales towards someone hiring him away after this season. Good for him (lands one of 32 GM gigs) and good for us (2 draft picks as compensation).
get the bitching here... this is basically an extended version of "Giants Life".
Some of us don’t watch any of it. Just adds to the never ending 24 hour cycle of sports news. I’m good for the 30 second Twitter clips. Sitting down and watching an overproduced hour segment on things I’ve seen/heard already just isn’t for me anymore.

I'd rather watch extended version of the "Giants Life" pre- and post-draft stuff than anything else that is produced. The 2022 and 2023 pre- and post-draft "Giants Life" content was as good as it gets from a fan perspective other than the games themselves (which to be frank, have sucked).
I’m just not it anymore. If it isn’t the draft or the games I’d rather watch a show or movie. I’m not itching for more football content, in other words.

See, I wasn't the only one wondering where the content was.
All the haters here who have sworn off any association for the team with Hard Knocks, Offseason, Training Camp, whatever....if we were to take names, we would safely assume that once this thing starts and the commentary starts, we will see none of your names in there commenting any any aspect of the show....right? Since you have sworn if off an all...
Im willing to bet at least 1 or 2 of the haters will have PLENTY to say once this thing gets going!:)
- The Wink debacle + hiring his replacement

Love the inside stories -its going to be interesting to see what they allow to be seen.

I hate it. People will be more interested in hamming it for the cameras. Other teams will get additional access to the new schemes or we will have to make adjustments to practice.
I was hoping it was during training camp but I'll take it. Can't wait to see how much input Mara and co have on the draft selection. Which group of posters will be eating crow?
If anything is shown related to attempts to trade up for Maye. That would put DJ in a humiliating situation and force him to respond to endless questions about it ("Daniel, how did you feel when you saw how badly Joe wanted to trade up to draft your replacement?")

It's the off season. Not training camp. The giants haven't even begun to implement new schemes. Some people are really dense or just lack simple reading comprehension.
I love the inside stuff and getting to see the personal interactions. I know they know the cameras are running so the interactions aren't 100% genuine, but it still is nice to see the human side of all of this. The NHL network had this for the Devils training camp about 5 years ago and it was a fun watch. I'm in and out on the training camp Hard Knocks. usually watch 2 or 3 epis a year but thats because I don't have a genuine interest for the teams involved in it. This I will watch every episode.
I bet this was also a nice compromise to being on the training camp/pre-season hard knocks. We were eligible this year and were probably going to be chosen.

The following teams have been featured on Hard Knocks:
Baltimore Ravens (2001)
Dallas Cowboys (2002, 2008, 2021)
Kansas City Chiefs (2007)
Cincinnati Bengals (2009, 2013)
New York Jets (2010, 2023)
Miami Dolphins (2012, 2023 In Season)
Atlanta Falcons (2014)
Houston Texans (2015)
Los Angeles Rams (2016, 2020)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2017)
Cleveland Browns (2018)
Oakland Raiders (2019)
Los Angeles Chargers (2020)
Indianapolis Colts (2021 In Season)
Detroit Lions (2022)
Arizona Cardinals (2022 In Season)
New York Jets (2023)
Miami Dolphins (2023 In Season)
Are all of these teams officially bottom tier because of those appearances? What a bunch of drama queens.
It's not like the Giants are a finely tuned machine anyway; I don't think clips of DeVito and his mom pouring Rao's all over some chicken cutlets is going to take the offense down from 19 PPG to 18.5 PPG.
One thing that I never did like about this show in general was them showing players being cut. That's a tough moment in someone's life and no one signed up for being fired on TV. I always thought that was in bad taste.
really that hard to figure out that this isn't the regular "Hard Knocks"? It's only the offseason version - it is the first time it has been done like this, and it is replacing the "Giants Life" material. Just like when they featured the Giants during the draft when Reese was here.
They've been willing to do spots like this, especially if it keeps them from the regular "hard Knocks", which the team has strongly opposed

Was No Medals For Trying a silly, sensationalized, wanna-be soap opera? No.
"Sanitized" would be a better description of Hard Knocks than "sensationalized." When Antonio Brown was melting down at Raiders camp, the only mention he got in Hard Knocks was shots of him working out in a pool.
Hard Knocks will focus on safe, prearranged storylines that usually have zero connection with how good or bad the team actually is. As it always has. Best digested as light fluff with some fun moments.

comments here, but this is something we should all be excited about. Fans have questioned the decisions and processes for years, here's your look into them.
would be interesting to me if they show any of the thought process behind disqualifying them at #6. Because if any of them become top 10-15 starters, it is going to be revisited A LOT.
I'm not a fan of Hard Knocks, but this version could be interesting
the Giants Life videos they did about the draft process the past couple of years. Sounds like this will be a more advanced/extended version of that so it's pretty cool.
The Giants being on "Hard Knocks" in any capacity is a concession given the franchise's reluctance in the past. Co-owner John Mara made that clear to the New York Daily News back in 2010 that he had no interest in opening their doors for the cameras.
"That announcement will come," Mara said at the time, "when I'm next to my father in the Gates of Heaven cemetery."
And don't look now, but Jews and Muslims will be making peace tomorrow. Just kidding. But the Giants appearing on Hard Knocks is real. And Johnny's still alive.
Is another season with Daniel Jones. We'll all get to see how hard he is working to rehab from his latest injury, so his supporters will all crow about how hard he works in his recovery. It's a broken record for the fans of this team, and it seems like it's on endless loop.
I love Malik Nabers and the other draft picks, but the fact that they don't have a legit QB to lead their team is rather pointless.
The excitement just isn't there anymore.

but I wish the Giants were on Hard Knock every year. Give me more Giants, everything. I'm surprised by posters that post on a Giants message board, literally everyday wouldn't want to actually watch a behind the scenes documentary of the offseason.

I bet They are going to fill a lot of time with how the Giants Org is preparing the celebration season. Also the organization is preparing to go to Germany, they did a draft pick from there, so that is more time. They will not have to pull the curtain back too far.
It's only 5 episodes and coverage only covers them to July.
This is good for everyone involved. Mara was probably ok with this one and can get out of doing a training camp or in season one.
The Colts was pretty well put together and I enjoyed it. Terrible to see a great beginning die like that, I swear you could feel the life sucked out of that team.
The Bengals show was also very well done and the loss of Dalton was a slow death for them.
The Dolphins run was exceptionally well done but, it started to feel like Mike McDaniel was reaching for TV worthy peep talks. Also a soul suck to the roster when they started to lose.
The Jets were unwatchable from go to me.
I look forward to seeing this, but I'm sure my bias may leave me scratching my head on some things or lack there of.
Maybe this will light a fire under everyone's ass
