First one did not have the ability to have the legs and head raise up. We bought a new one that adjusted while you were sleeping and we hated it. Called and they replaced it with one that doesn’t adjust while you sleep. I like my mattress more on the firm side, my wife likes a softer mattress. We love it.
Separate sides adjust to different numbers in the king size(ours)

Very comfortable and not hot (had a temper-pedic before this one, good bed but could sleep hot in summer)
I love this bed - best I’ve ever had
Adjustable bed feature better for TV & reading in bed (not me)
I like it but they are smaller than a normal bed I'd suggest a king, otherwise I like it so far. Zero G and Anti-Snoring are very helpful. I do sleep better when I utiliize the features as I should.
base was something that I thought I would use more often but never do. As a result of buying the adjustable base, I had to get the split top king mattress. It's impossible to find fitted sheets for.
Still using it. Had to replace one of the air chambers and the pump but otherwise no issues. They did not have the adjustibles back then might have gotten it as we like to watch TV or read in bed.

My wife loves it. It's ok but I could fall asleep on a rock. Although it is pricey the customer service is fantastic. Since we have the King adjustable, it has two pumps and one side wasn't working that great. The bed was over 10 years old and I figured I would call to see if they could do anything. I was surprised but they came and put on brand-new pumps and gave us updated remotes which I really like.
If you are older it is nice that when your spouse moves in bed you won't feel it since the king is split into two twins. I'm glad I have it now because of that. Also if the snore a little, adjust the head up and it stops.
Stay away from all the analytics stuff because it means nothing IMO and is cheaper without.
It's basically a glorified and very over-priced air mattress. Not really very comfortable and didn't last very long.
So we went back to a premium quality conventional mattress and sleep a lot better now.
I don't know how long you had your bed, but it's much better than any glorified air mattress I've used. If you adjust it properly, I think it is comfortable. If you like a firm bed, a Sleep Number Bed is not a good choice. These beds are not for everyone. I wouldn't mind a regular mattress, but my wife won't budge from a sleep number and I'm fine with that since I sleep well no matter what I'm using. I've gotten used to it after 30 years so I'm sticking with it.
Our Sleep Number was a middle of the line model. We bought it to replace our last water mattress because we liked the independent adjustability. But the plusses of the two-sided adjustability didn't compensate for the lack of comfort from the air bags even though we both like a soft mattress. I note that although you can adjust the air pressure, you can't adjust where the greatest air pressure is or isn't.
I also note that after doing a lot of homework on this subject, many sleep experts and mattress testers completely dismiss air mattresses as garbage. That's certainly my position now after years of having one for camping as well as our Sleep Number experience.
The air bag on my side of the Sleep Number didn't last long - just a few years - and then it wouldn't hold air any longer.
Personally I remain a water bed fan but can't find a good water mattress any more. So we went back to a conventional mattress (a Jamestown bought from a factory outlet) with an integral 4-inch foam topper that cost LESS than the Sleep Number mattress, has already outlasted it, and is a lot more comfortable for both of us.

Have to use sleep number slips for split top.

Currently rocking a Saatva luxury firm 14 inch and sleep so much better.
