NFT: Kylian Mbappé officially joins Real Madrid

Big Rick in FL : 6/3/2024 4:27 pm
The worst kept secret was finally confirmed by Real Madrid today. Kylian Mbappé will be joining Real Madrid. What a weekend for Madridistas. 15th Champions League and a top 3 player in the World on a free transfer. Can Vini, Jude, Rodrygo & Kylian coexist in attack?
And the rich get

I'm sure it will be fun for you Rick

but it's getting a bit boring. Glad something unexpected happened in Germany this year at least.
Sorry to see the great French player leaving Paris,

La Liga has always been between maybe a total of 4 teams.

That's probably being generous. Atleti merit inclusion along with Madrid and Barca.

I wish Valencia would get it together. That squad at one time had David Silva, David Villa and Juan Mata. That is the fourth club who should challenge annually for a CL invite and the occassional La Liga title. The club continues to be mired in debt and cursed with poor ownership.

La Liga needs Sevilla to rebound. They have been terrible domestically the past two seasons despite winning a Europa League title in 23-24.

La Liga has lost financial clout to England and with it key talent coaching and player talent. I miss the days when the likes of Villareal, Malaga, Deportivo La Coruna, etc. could make waves in the CL.

Try two teams.
Difference between La Liga and the Premiership is that they don't divide up the TV revenue very equally in Spain. Also, Real's finances, their arrangements with banks have always been very murky. And they were Franco's team.
New York Yankees.
Bayern Munich.
Real Madrid.
I've never enjoyed these sports organisations that tend to hoover up the talent from the competition. One of the virtues of the NFL is that this tends not to happen, much more equality of competition.
And now with Middle Eastern sportswashing, you have clubs with basically a bottomless pit of money, like Paris St Germain, Man City.
PSG have killed competition in the French league. They win the title by about 15 points every season, yet remain pretty shit at the Champions League. Their owners are in it for when there's a breakaway European Super League.
